Who, better than you, could tell us what YOU would like to see on this blog. What kind of samples?
Are there products that we sell that you would like us to use on samples? A specific colour scheme? Something altered? Your favourite stamps? A technique explained on this blog maybe?
This could be a *new way* to see things, a fun challenge for our talented DT, and a satisfaction for you to see how a specific product/stamp etc... can be used.
We won't be able to make every wish come true as the DT does not own *everything* we sell (I bet they wished though lol), but we can give it a try.
So all you have to do to leave a message in a comment below saying "I wish the DT could use.... " or "I wish we could see samples using.....".
Of course, if you want your wish to come true, you'll have to close your eyes and believe in it really hard LOL. We all know it does not work otherwise. And you never know.......... there might be something to win too....

I would love to see some basic (very basic) metal work demos. I haven't tried it before and would like to know about the tools etc.
ReplyDeleteDear Wishing Well Fairy,
ReplyDeleteI wish for ideas and inspiration for using my alcohol inks - pretty please! I have a few of these bottles of inky goodness and I'm a little frightened to use them....
Love from Mel xx
Things I would like to suggest for consideration include any or all of
ReplyDelete- advanced cuttlebug techniques (my number one "wish")
- showcase 5 (or so) cards or other projects all with the same e.g. stamp or the one designer paper, to showcase its versatility and to share different ideas and techniques.
- ideas and maybe even tutorials for a variety of mini books e.g. with different folds, ideas for pockets etc etc.
- basic and advanced ideas and techniques for using distress inks
- ways to use brush markers, copics or other pens of any type to add hand drawn doodles or decoration (or even lettering), (rather than just colouring in).
A big list, I know. But maybe somewhere in there will be something that strikes a chord with the direction you'd like to take.
Thanks for asking for input and giving us an opportunity to be involved. Also, thanks for all the great ideas and work you share already.
Hi Girls/Boys this is Jo. Well I think you know what I would wish for :) Go-Kreate and your new cottage cuts samples, every time there is a class it get cancels due to some unforseen problems, maybe me ! So pretty please as the lady above said can we have this as we do get to see a lot of stamping - love it but only time you see die cutting is the shows. Big Hugs xxxxxx
ReplyDeleteHi everyone!!! I buy a lot of your wooden blanks amog other things & would love to see what you do with those! HUGS XXX
ReplyDeleteHi team. Thanks for this great opportunity. I love seeing your DT samples, and would love some more examples of metal work and cuttlebug techniques. Could we also have some Christmas inspiration for those getting ready early please?
ReplyDeleteHi! I'd love to see some Stampinbella ideas. The stamps are quite small and I wasn't too keen on them till I saw wonderful cards made with them at your last Open Weekend. More inspiration would be great please!
ReplyDeleteAlso Cuttlebug sounds great:)
I love the work that is already shown, really brilliant samples but I wish the DT could use some of the products or perhaps a demo to show how to use things like precious metal paint, ferro or terra, friendly plastic etc. I'd like to do more altered art but haven't a clue where to start!
Think I am a bit late as it has already all been said!!!Distress inks, Inka Gold paste, metal work, advanced Cuttlebug etc, plus Katzelkraft stamps!
ReplyDeleteI would like to know which products (paints, inks, markers etc..) That can be used on shrink plastic and in particular which products from the My Paper World range work on shrink.
ReplyDeleteI am wishing very hard for some of the above suggestions to be used on mens cards as it would be great to have some different ideas for the men in our lives. Would also wish for more samples using metal paints, cutting dies and all the cosmic range;
ReplyDeletexx Jill
I would love to see some simple ideas with alcohol inks I have bought some but they have not yet been opened
ReplyDeleteI'm hopeless with alcohol inks so I'd love some simple and effective ideas about how to use them.
ReplyDeleteAny kind of 'wet' techniques really - paint, masking, misting - tips, techniques and sample projects.
Hello, wishing YOU well, you have such excellent hint/tips/tutorials! Thank you :)
ReplyDeleteI'd love to see some articles featuring the BigShot Express- there's not much on the web about it yet...and you are so thorough and clear with your tutorials that BigShot Express would be de-mistified for me!! Especially Nesties and partial embossing...sigh...
Meanwhile, thanking you and always reading,
Cathy
Here's a challenge for the talented DT. Make a scrapbook page, card or decorated item using the new logo colours (hot pink, purple & teal).
ReplyDeleteI would love to see demo's and samples using Stampboard
ReplyDeleteHi Folks, what a fab idea, I agree with lots of other comments, more cuttlebug help but perhaps also on other equipment so we all can get ideas of how they are used and what for. Be great for people who dont have some of them or not able to go to classes as well as give people the chance to see if they would like to buy also great for new comers to crafting too. Would also be great to see some of your ideas and techniques other a wide range of things be it stamping, inks, pens etc, lol xx
ReplyDeleteAn example on how to use all of the main product 'types' sold at the Craft Barn would enable anyone to feel interested in making a purchase of an untried product. This could be collated over a period of time, using some of the above requests as a starting point. Maybe include customer's creations in a gallery too?
ReplyDeleteI would also love to see some examples of the different embossing pastes, especially black, with stencils as I am stuck in a creative rut! I would also like to see some basic and advanced ideas using diecuts. PLUS...simple ideas...to meet those of us with very little disposable income :O) Thank you!
ReplyDeleteI wish the DT could inspire me to use my new copics properly!!!!! After spending all that cash on Two sets I'm too scared to use them!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI think neil's idea is a good one, detailed instructions for the not so easy products would be great along with sample ideas. Can anyone tell me what all the fuss is about with copics? :O)
ReplyDeletenew ideas for alcohol inks please
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! I'd love to see some ideas for the Viva Decor range - I bought several of the stamp sets and a couple of the cream paints at the spring demo weekend. Saw lots of lovely demos on the day but haven't really used them as I've forgotten everything I saw!!! Love Chris's tutorial for the suitcases - that's gone in my favourite folder!!! Juliexx

ReplyDeleteHaving spent nearly a whole day trying to organise and sort out my miles and miles of ribbons, I would love some ideas to use some of them!!!!
ReplyDeleteEmbossing powders. Different ways to use powders other than just stamping an image and heat setting it. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteI have had some sheets of beeswax for some time and still have not used it because I am not sure what to do. Some examples and 'how-to's' would be greatly appreciated
ReplyDeleteThanks very much
I'd like to see some inspiration for Papersoft. I love it, but have only used it for edging images/ cards and making BP with the sponge and a florish stamp. I'm sure it can be used for heaps more things. x
ReplyDeleteDear wishing well please could you do a tutorial using geso, i brought some from your wonderful shop and still dont know what to do with it
ReplyDeletethank you for listening wishing well
Judie xx
I've just bought a pot of perfect pearl powder in bronze. I have tried the technique in Tim Holtz's book, but what else can I do with it?
ReplyDeletePencils! Watercolour and ordinary coloured pencils...I have seen some wonderful art using these but whenever I try...it looks like a murky mess or a childs scribbling! What is so different about the inktense pencils too, (other than price!), are they like pens? Thanks!
ReplyDeletePatterned papers! I have scraps of patterned paper and hate to throw them away. Apart from using them for punches, what else can I do with them?
ReplyDeleteAnne/Brittany
nest abilities I like them need some more inspiration
ReplyDeleteDear Wishing well,
ReplyDeleteCould we have ideas on your Friendly plastic, saw it at the demo day and bought some and the dvd. But don't know where to get the water pot from.
Can use the heat gun but would like if someone could invent/make a small hot water container so that we can fully use it. Would be so grateful.
Jo. Thomas xxx
I wish we could see samples using Alcohol Inks please. So, fingers crossed.
ReplyDeleteMary Mac

I would love to see a photo of all the staff, (yes Sandy, that includes you!) plus some piccys of the 'new' shop premises. Oh Wishing Well, Wishing Well,
ReplyDeleteI would love to see what can be done with Krylon Leafing Pens as I love the look of them but panic when I think of gold leafing.
Also I have just noticed on the site the Country Love Ceramic Pendants which look lush but how would you decorate them and what with.
Also I have seen on blogs altered dominos but what do you use and how?
I hope my wishes come true!
Lisa x
I would wish for some samples using 10second Studio metal as embellishments.I have just bought the starter tool kit and would love to see some ideas xx
ReplyDeleteI've been noticing some projects with metal sheets or craft foil - embossing and more, but I'm not sure what is suitable for which projects and where to even start with using or creating with them.
ReplyDeleteAny tips or creative inspiration would be much appreciated.
Thanks a million.
Dear Wishing well, can you show us what the new Spellbinders die and machine can do and would it be more useful than the Cuttlebug. Thank you JO. Thomas
ReplyDeleteDropped my silver penny in and would love to see what the team can do with acetate :)
ReplyDeleteHi there
ReplyDeleteMy wish would be techniques for altering items, using paint techniques particularly.
thanks hugs Ali x
I wish the DT could show me how to use up all the scraps of paper and ribbon I always end up with at the end of a project. I have so many now, and it seems a waste not to use them for something!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Trish x
I wish the dt could show me how they arrange their flowers and foilage on their cards. When I try to embellish my cards with flowers I don't get the best results, it just looks like my 6 year old has plopped them on. Thanks. Donna x
ReplyDeleteI'd like a tutorial on how to line up "non-transparent" rubber stamps - particularly when you're trying to overstamp in backgrounds with masking techniques. I can never quite get my characters to "sit" on walls/chairs etc and am sure there must be a better way than "crossing my fingers and hoping it lines up"......
ReplyDeleteThanks
Craftilicious
I would like tutorial on Concertina Flowers if possible .Not eveyone has a die cut machine or times being hard peeps cant afford them.I know it's going to be very trendy this year in craft field .Just wondered if possible tutorial could be made by hand.
ReplyDeletethanks judex
Please wishing well fairy,
ReplyDeleteI would like to get some help with friendly plastic. I was blown away at one of your demo days by Liz, but by the time I got home, clutching my beautiful sticks of plastic, all the info I had learnt had drained away from my feeble brain!
I would really love it if you could demonstrate how to do decopatch. The finished articles always look so lovely and I understand it can be very relaxing and therapeutic to do. Here's hoping my wish will come true.
ReplyDeleteWendy Rose
I would love to see some card layout ideas. I always get a bit stuck about how to create the best layout for a stamped image or other toppers. They never seem to look right on my cards. I end up sticking to very simple matting and layering yet really wish I had a little guidance about what to stick where. Here's wishing
ReplyDeleteHi Just loved this demo on the embossing water colours Thank you so much.
ReplyDeleteI would love to see a demo on making my cards look special rather handmade by me!!
I'm not that clever I do try, but they never look that professional!
Some really clever tip that will really work. Wish I lived nearer to you folk I would come to your classes as you seem to really care about us!
I'm not that clever But I do try my best. Thanks for great site.
Mary

ReplyDeleteHi Cazzy
ReplyDeleteSaw your post, yes we have the Vagabond in stock and yes it is free postage

Sandy
Gold & other coloured leaf and foils. I cannot get them to work with stamps and my 'leafing' technique ends up all patchy and bumpy. I see you have some super-duper new leafs in.....I'd like to see some ideas as well as techniques too....drooling over those new colours...:O)
ReplyDeleteI would also like to see demo's using gold leaf or flakes, possibly on acetate or making faux metal embellishments, my eyes are tight shut & I'm wishing wishing wishing......
ReplyDeleteI have a simple request on how or where to use Distress stickles. I have the antique linen and no idea what to use it on
ReplyDeleteI wish the DT could use Shrink Plastic. I remember seeing shrink plastic being used at the NEC when I first started crafting 5 years ago. All I can remember is that he was using shrink plastic with different mediums I don't know what as I didn't know much about craft then, I think it could have been utee in a melt pot and friendly plastic but I'm not sure. I love love love shrink plastic and print backing papers on it and stamp on it, but it would be lovely to know if we could do anything else with it.
ReplyDeleteThanks Kerry
