Stamping Bella in pink

Hi everyone,
We are back with more Stamping Bella samples as we know you love those. This time, Ria suggested "Stamping Bella in pink" as a DT theme (we work with themes behind the scene...).
As I have mentioned before, Stamping Bella is only 30 min from where I live, and I have popped in a couple of time and ... pink it is!!! Those of you who have purchased Stamping Bella stamps before know that the packaging is pink. So when you enter in her shop, you have walls covered with pink packaged stamps. And of course the rubber itself is pink... So Ria's suggestion was really appropriate.

Here's what our talented DT came up with: the whole card pink or just the character dressed in pink.....
Hope you like them...
Let us know what you think in a comment below

EXTRAVAGANZA NEWS - THE SEQUEL

Hi Folks

Yes there's plenty more where yesterdays post came from.  I almost can't believe how many demonstrators there were myself now I am actually in the process of blogging it all !

We were really pleased to have Jean and Malcolm with us again from Crafty Individuals. These poor souls have to get up at 3:30am to catch a flight down so that they can be with us. It must be a real killer but they never ever complain, they are truly amazing and extremely generous in their support of us for which are very grateful.

Here is Jean in the Victoria Club Hall sadly we didn’t get one of the lovely Malcolm but you can just see the shoulder of his jacket, which I think might actually have been on the back of the chair so even that may not be him!

These are some of Jean's amazing work but you really need to see them in real life to fully appreciate them

We were also pleased to have Francoise Read with us, courtesy of Woodware (thank you Judith).  I can remember coming to the Craft Barn events before we purchased the shop and I always used to end up buying her stamps because I loved her samples so much.  I did all my Christmas cards with one of her Christmas tree sets one year - aah the memories of when I used to have time to craft!  This time she was using a selection of her most recent Woodware stamps.

Here are some of the wonderful projects Francoise brought with her to share and once again we have a lovely glittery board in the shop of the samples left behind for us.

Here she is chatting to customers - she's in the middle between Sue Wilson and  Carole Cann (who seems to have a bag of crisps in hand probably the only time she had anything to eat all weekend!)

and here she is at the end of a long day, funnily enough still next to Sue but this time in the pub!

Don't want you to think that we spend all our time in the pub by the way it's just we have to eat and the pub is the easiest place to go honest!

Well as we have already mentioned the lovely Sue a couple of times, might as well add a bit more here!  These  were her gorgeous samples she was working with Creative Expressions stamps which we should have on line in the next day or so, Cosmic Shimmer powders, Distress inkpads  and she had made some really great man cards.

We met Sue  for the first time at the trade show in February and she is such a delightful and unassuming person.  Here David managed to capture her in full flow!

I'm sure she won't mind us telling you that she was actually quite nervous before the extravaganza all kicked off  - amazing that someone that talented would be nervous but like I said a really lovely person.

Next up was our local celebrity Jenny Mayes from Hobby Art,  Jenny is a very patient woman because Hobby Art is based just near to where we live, we are forever popping in for an odd stamp which I'm sure must drive them crazy!

Here is Jenny hard at work

Here are some Christmas samples, but Jenny was working with her other stamps sets as well as her trusty Tombow pens, we should have some samples in the shop shortly  Jenny and Chris were also kind enough to rush the release of their new seaside stamp set for the extrwavaganza and we really want to thank them for doing that for us.

Jenny just happened to be in the shop the other day when someone rang up to buy her DVD couldn't have planned it better!  For those of you who have asked, Jenny will be coming to the Craft Barn to do some classes soon.

Up next we had the lovely Paula Pascual who was working with the Marianne D's dies and of course the Cuttlebug.

Here she is showing people how to make some of her really pretty samples

Everyone looks very engrossed don't they!
Here are some of the lovely projects she brought with her and we do have some more in the shop as well to inspire you

Got to run now, need to write the newsletter and sort out a few other things .  Will put up some more pics tomorrow.

See you soon

EXTRAVAGANZA NEWS

Can't believe where the time goes so this is a bit later than planned! Also with so much to say I think I'm going to have to split it over two or three posts. Anyway here goes!

Thanks to everyone who came and supported us at the extravaganza weekend, and there were loads of you.  We have had lots of really lovely feedback and based on your comments the view seems to be that this was our best yet.

There were certainly lots of you with us over the weekend and quite a few found our shop for the first time which was really nice. You can tell the newbies because when they come in for the first time they are always surprised by the size of the shop because it looks so twee from outside, their reaction always makes me smile!
This photo shows most of the main shop but we also have the paper room too, I'll put up some more pics of the shop over the next couple of days for those of you who couldn't be with us.

Need to say a massive thanks to all the demonstrators who worked so hard to share all their expertise with you and without whom there would not be a weekend and to our wonderful staff team who work so hard before, during and after to make the event a success. Finally many thanks to David who you may have seen walking around talking pictures to try to capture the spirit of the event.

What a pleasure to meet the legend that is Suze Weinberg and of course the lovely Lenster who was an absolute charmer. Thanks to you both not just for coming all the way from the USA, although that in itself was wonderful, but also for the amazing collage mirror that we were presented with.

Isn't it beautiful?
It is going on display in the shop today so you will be able to see it in the flesh next time you come in.

Suze had some fabulous samples with her, they were very inspirational. I know this photo looks like we had bars on the window to prevent an escape but it wasn't like that really!

Suze was so bubbly and enthusiastic and her passion was captivating all through the weekend, she was also very generous with her samples and lots of you left with little gifts. We have already been asked if we can get her back again and we'd certainly love that, so we'll have to see if we can get booked into her schedule.

Suze used UTEE, beeswax, her trusty melting pots, memory frames and much more.

Huge thanks also to Stamping Bella Emily for coming from Canada. We decided that we were sisters separated at birth because we kept saying such similar things- it was really spooky!

Emily had some wonderful samples too and she was using a mixture of Copic pens with the Coloursoft pencils and it was great combination. She obviously captured your imaginations because the Stamping Bella wall looks a little bare right now!

Here is a picture of the Stamping Bella wall pre-decimation

My new nearly sister then popped over to Paris for a few days with her husband Ryan (what a fantastic guy, it was a pleasure to have him as an honorary Englishman during the football!  See below ). They brought me back this really cool pencil case for my Copics

Here is the lovely Ryan, complete with England hat

Couldn't resist this one it's a picture of Emily with the BIGGEST chip ever when we had dinner at the local pub. If there's ever a world ketchup shortage it will be because Ryan has had a burger again!

and here she is hard at work over the weekend

**********

Carol Cockbain released her first ever DVD at the weekend using  Dreamweaver stencils, paste and other products and the response has been amazing. We have had people already asking for the next one - give us a chance :o)))

Here are some of her samples made with microbeads and beadazzles.  We have loads of sample boards in the shop created by Carol and they are so popular.  Carol is really very generous in sharing her time and expertise.

It was Linda Brown's debut with us and everyone was thrilled to see her and her wonderful samples she is just so talented if you get a chance to see her at one of the shows you are in for real treat.
Poor Linda had a stressful few days before the extravaganza when the courier company delivered our Ten Second Studio order somewhere else.  Leandra (Paper Artsy) stepped into the breach and collected the parcels and delivered them to our shop for us, what a star!

Our picture below doesn't do justice to Linda's work  but the good news is she did say she would come back again, schedule allowing, so keep your fingers crossed!  This time amongst other things Linda was using products from Ten Second Studio, Inka Gold from Viva and  new Eco Green Crafts acrylic paints by Julia Andrus.

And I feel really honoured because she gave me an absolutely stunning brooch that she had made

********

David obviously caught Kay Carley right in the middle of saying something! Kay was working with the very cute Belles and Whistles stamps plus Copic pens and Distress inks. She has produced some wonderful samples and we have created a display board for them in the shop to inspire you.

This was Kay's own board from the weekend

**********

Julie Hickey was only with us on the Saturday but she managed a sell out of the products that she was using! Again we have been able to create a wonderful board from all the lovely things Julie left us, which is on display in the shop, full of samples from across several collections, to give you some great ideas of how you can use all the lovely Craftwork cards products

I reckon that's enough for one day!  Will carry on with more over the next couple of days, there are more crowd scenes to come and a photo of  Ian so stick around and you may yet spot yourself!

See you soon

£50 voucher winner

Hello everyone,

First of all, a huge thank you for making the June Extravaganza such a success... It has been the biggest and busiest event so far, way above our expectations!
We also had the perfect weather: dry and not too hot (although I'm sure the girls in the shop will not agree with the latter as it was sooooo packed in there that they got very hot indeed)

We will soon post some pictures of the event and of some of the gorgeous samples made by the demonstrators.
In the meantime, those of you who attended the event last weekend had the opportunity to enter a draw to win a £50 voucher.
We are now pleased to announce that the winner is.......... (drum roll)

Congratulations!
I have already emailed you your voucher code.
Enjoy !!

Live from the Craft Barn

Hello everyone,
I am now on this side of the pond, still jetlagged, but wanted to share some pictures of the Barn taken today.

First of all, Suze Weinberg and her husband arrived in Surrey this morning and popped in the shop. So I took the opportunity to take a picture with Sandy and hubby Ian.

And Suze's products all ready

Then, I thought I would take pictures of the shop to show to those of you who live too far what the Craft Barn looks like.

I started with the Viva Decor and altering corner (my kinda world lol)...

And then I stopped here, because everywhere I looked I found ....

boxes...

and more boxes to unpack...

so I guess the day is not over yet  :o)

So I popped upstairs and found the lovely Carol preparing the studio for the weekend's workshops

And ohhhhhh, the sweety bags are ready... Demonstrators have a 5 starts service here: bags of sweets on each table, tea and coffee and lunches brought to them throughout the days: perfect!

Here we go for tonight. I do hope you can come along and join the fun this weekend.

Demos run from 10 am until 4pm both days in THREE locations: the Victoria Club, the Community centre and the Day centre in Lingfield.
The shop is open 9:30 until 5:00 on Saturday and 10:00 am until 4:00 pm on Sunday

See you soon with more pictures !
