The Craft Barn WISHING WELL

Hi,
Who, better than you, could tell us what YOU would like to see on this blog. What kind of samples?
Are there products that we sell that you would like us to use on samples? A specific colour scheme? Something altered? Your favourite stamps? A technique explained on this blog maybe?

This could be a *new way* to see things, a fun challenge for our talented DT, and a satisfaction for you to see how a specific product/stamp etc... can be used.

We won't be able to make every wish come true as the DT does not own *everything* we sell (I bet they wished though lol), but we can give it a try.

So all you have to do to leave a message in a comment below saying "I wish the DT could use.... " or "I wish we could see samples using.....".

Of course, if you want your wish to come true, you'll have to close your eyes and believe in it really hard LOL. We all know it does not work otherwise. And you never know.......... there might be something to win too....

Bonjour,

Colour your day Wednesday: grey

hi,
It's been a while since I have done a "colour your day" post.
The colour choice might surprise you a bit as it is "grey". Not the "colour" everyone turns too, but the whole point of this blog is to give you inspiration, all kind of inspiration, with all products and colours, especially what you don't see much elsewhere.
So here are the beautiful samples made by our talented Poupette and Michelle. Hope you like them.

Viva Decor - PaperSoft Colours

Hi,
PaperSoft colours: if you have not tried those yet, you **have** to. No kidding. They are by far my favourite products of the moment (yes me, the ink addict). Much easier to apply than inks, those paints are just amazing!!
If you are lucky enough to live close the Barn, check out Jane Collman's class on August 15th: there is an all-day Masterclass waiting for you. Don't miss out!

Ok, down to the samples I have for you today. The first one was made by Jane for the June Extravaganza, and as I have seen this one "in the flesh", I can tell you that the picture doesn't do it justice, it is beautiful !!

We're back !

Hi

I don't want to turn this into an Oscar acceptance speech but it has been an emotional time over the last few days and I do want to say some thank yous.  First of all I want to say a big thank you to everyone for the wonderful messages of support and offers of help that we have had. they have been most welcome and truly appreciated.

Monday was a complete nightmare and something I never want to go through again, until it happens to you, you don't realise how quickly fires escalate so if you haven't got a smoke detector or you haven't tested it recently please, please, please do it now.   I must say the fire brigade were amazing  they arrived within 7 minutes and that certainly helped to get things under control quickly and they were extremely kind to us.  I know that when the smoke was pouring out from under the roof our neighbours were worried for their own properties and safety and we are very grateful that no-one was hurt and that the damage was not much worse.

I must also thank Chris from Browsers coffe shop who has put up with us all using her loo, making tea and coffee and running an extension cable to give us phone and internet access over the last few days.  She has been amazing

Ok so it's onwards and upwards now.  I am really pleased to be able to let you know that we are making progress!  All being well, we will have the electricity back on tomorrow morning and the shop will be open for business from about lunchtime.

Classes are going ahead as usual as we have identified a suitable alternative venue until such time as the studio is fit to use. If you are booked onto a class simply  come to the shop to book in in the usual way and we will show you where to go for your class.

We look forward to seeing eveyone soon.

Fire at the Craft Barn

We are sorry to have to report that we had a fire in our upstairs studio yesterday which has meant that we have had to temporarily close our bricks and mortar shop for at least the next couple of days whilst repairs are made to the building.  Luckily, no one was hurt.
Mail order and internet orders are still being processed as normal but we are experiencing a short delay on processing of orders.  Please bear with us, we are working really hard to minimise the disruption to all our customers.

-----
