Hi everyone,
Today, our granted wish is all about Shaker Cards. This is one of the wishes that was sent to us by email and we hope that you will like what our little fairies have done.
Wish:
I have never made a Christmas Shaker card and wondered if your brilliant team could come up with some ideas and how to do it??
Jan
So here's a couple of step by step techniques and samples Jan.
First technique to make shaker cards with Michelle
1/ Chose an image which fits the recycled bubble pack
2/ Colour in and place artificial snow in the bubble to see how much it needs,
3/ Place the snow in the middle of the picture and set the bubble in place
4/ Tape the bubble pack down with double sided tape. Measure the bubble pack and cut an aperture to fit.
5/ Peel off the DS tape cover and fit bubble pack through aperture. Decorate as desired. I just added the sentiment and trimmed round the edge of the shaker with peel off.

Second technique with Chris Dark
1/ Cut a mat from red card using the largest nestabilities die and to suit the size of the image (I haven't shown this mat in the photograph above but it is needed). Using the same die cut again from acetate and trim a couple of millimetres around all sides. Again using the red card set the largest die on the card and a smaller sized die from the set (suitable for the image size) centrally inside the large one and cut. This gives a frame to go over the top of the image.
2/ Glue the acetate to the frame.
Cut strips of dimension tape and attach around the frame and slightly away from the edge so that it won't be seen through the acetate. The tape needs to meet up at all joins so that the contents don't spill out. (Apologies for the blurred photo). This could also be done the other way round, attaching the dimension tape around the image if preferred.
Glue the image to the large mat.
Add some glitter jewels but only enough so that they can still move inside the frame when the acetate is placed.
Place the frame with the acetate attached over the image creating a sandwich with the glitter in between.
I stamped on the frame with one of the accessory stamps from the stamp set and this is how it looks when attached. I saved the cut out from the centre of the frame and used it as a panel at the side of the card. All the edges of the frame, the side panel and the card base were sponged with Walnut Stain distress ink then brads and lace were added. Everything was attached to a card base made from the the red card and a piece of patterned paper from a BasicGray Jovial 6x6 pad.
Hopefully this will inspire you Jan and help you make a few shaker cards in time for Christmas.
As your wish has been granted, we will send you The Kadoodle Christmas Robin stamp, one foam tape and one Glitter Jewels jar and you can have a go.
Would you like to win this too? Leave a comment below to let the fairies know what you thought of their techniques..
The Wishing Well will take a break for the Christmas holiday, and we will be back in the New year...
