Wish Granted: concertina flowers

Hello everyone,
Concertina flowers: we see them everywhere at the moment and Jude made the following wish recently:

I would like tutorial on Concertina Flowers if possible. Not eveyone has a die cut machine or times being hard peeps cant afford them. I know it's going to be very trendy this year in craft field. Just wondered if possible tutorial could be made by hand. Thanks - Jude x

So our talented fairies got to work, and I also asked our guest Fairy Cheryl if she would do something too... So she will lead the way with Ria today using metal for her concertina flowers. Ria has made her Rosettes from patterned paper.

So what have you won this week? Well...... I'm not going to tell ya... Every so often, we'll leave it as a surprise.... don't forget to get in touch with your address Jude so we can send you your surprise gift  ;)

Cut two metal strips with deckle edge scissors

Next, make tiny valley and mountain folds using a scoring board

You will now have your two folded strips of metal

Glue them together to make a flower.

Here`s Cheryl final card. She placed her metal flower onto a scalloped circle.
To make her sample, Cheryl used:
Craft metal,copper
Decorative scissors,
Nestabilities scalloped circle
Crafty individuals,lady in Paris,stamp CI-260
Archival ink coffee
Distress ink old paper

Ria made her flower by hand too, but used Craftwork Cards and Craft Creations patterned paper instead
Here`s what she has prepared for you (you can click on the image to zoom in and right click to save it)

and here`s Ria final samples

To make this sample, Ria used:

We hope you enjoyed this. Please let us know in a comment below.
Tomorrow, your fairies will be Poupette and Isasart... Hope you see you then
