Welcome to part two of our Ferro, Terra, Precious Metal Paints wish granted.
Today our project has been designed by Kathy Byrne, one of our tutors here at The Craft Barn.
For this project Kathy started with a 15cm square canvas. She then cut a piece of grungepaper
slightly smaller than the canvas and with the Tim Holtz Bigz die Gadget Gears, cut the three shapes out of this piece. She then placed ithe grungepaper into a Cuttlebug embossing folder -
Clockworks and embossed it using a Cuttlebug die-cutting machine.
Put the cut out shapes to one side.
Kathy then placed a piece of Graphic 45 'Steampunk' paper behind the grungepaper and attached
both to the canvas.
She then applied Ferro - Iron around the outside edge as shown in picture.
Next, with a small square canvas apply more Ferro - Iron and leave to dry.
Add picture from paper and attach small canvas to large canvas in top corner.
To colour the die cut gears, Kathy used a combination of Ferro - Gold Iron and Alcohol Inks -
To finish, place some copper coloured tacks down the side of the canvas and add border to top.
So, what do you think??
Thanks Kathy, this is a lovely project and I hope it inspires you!!
Part three follows tomorrow,
See you soon,
Jane
