Wishing Well Granted - Beeswax

Hi everyone,

Hope you all had a good weekend, I could certainly get used to these 4 day weekends!!!!

Well here we are again Wishing Well Granted Day 1.

This week we are looking at Beeswax.

Whyducks says..................

"Dear Fairy at the bottom of the wishing well please could we see ways in which to use Suze Weinberg's hot wax".

Well done,  Whyducks you have won a pot of Beeswax and
2 pots of Cosmic Shimmer Ultra Thick Embossing Powder!!

(Not necessarily colour shown!)

Whyducks please get in touch so we can send you your prize.

So, we sent down the divers to speak to the fairies at the bottom
of the well and asked them to set to work!!!!!!

Today, we have Isa our very talented member of the DT from France
who has made a fantastic video for us!!!

Isa has created some beautiful Altered Caps with Beeswax,

Watch now and see how she made them.....
Obviously some of it is in French and some in English
and her English is a lot better than my French

Wow!!!

Thank you so much Isa (you should see what she has done for tomorrow!!!!!).

Isa used:

Crafty Individuals Images - Birds 1 and Love Letters
Beeswax
Cosmic Shimmer Mica Powders
Copic Pens
Heatgun
Heat Resistant Craft Sheet
Melting Pot (optional)

Just to recap what she is saying......

Isa used Crafty Individual pictures which are good quality papers
so the images didn't need protecting for this project.
She coloured the edges of the curved caps with a copic pen (E49 Dark Bark).
Putting the cap on a craft sheet and using a tool, like tweezers, put a little beeswax
onto the cap and heat with heatgun.
When beeswax is melted, carefully place image on top and press gently.
In Isa's words "Be careful it's hot"!!!!!!!!
Put a little more beeswax on top and when melted place text where you want it.
When it cools you can remove a little of the wax if desired.
Paint around the edge with Mica Powder and water to give a metallic effect edge.

Wonderful!!!!

Hope you enjoyed this today, I shall be back tomorrow with another treat.

Let us know what you think of the video please.

See you soon,

Jane
