Hello everyone,
Welcome to the last post for this weeks Wishing Well.
As you already know our fairies have been busy with beeswax and today
fairy Michelle has created another fantastic project for you!!!
This time we have a very pretty decorated candle plate!
Michelle has used a glass candle plate, she cut a circle from a Prima 6 x 6 paper pad
using Spellbinders Nestabilities as this fit exactly into the bottom!
Michelle then melted some beeswax into the base of the plate as Isa did before and then
laid the designer paper circle down on the base making sure it is nice and flat.
Melt a few more pellets over the top of the paper, again making
sure the surface is nice and level. Allow to cool.
Now melt some wax in your Melting Pot.
Choose some flowers and dip them into your Beeswax.
Leave to cool on a heat resistant craft sheet.
Make especially sure that larger flowers are completely coated!
Also dip any leaves you intend to use.
When cooled, decide on your arrangement.
Arrange the leaves first as a back drop for your flowers.
Dip the leaves into a little of the melted wax and stick to plate.
Build up your arrangement in the same way making sure you place the
flowers and leaves in position before the wax has cooled.
Hold them in place briefly before moving on to the next flower/leaf to allow them to set.
To make the embellishment,
Michelle then used a little candle wax left over from an old candle
and melted it.
She then poured it into a little cutter which had been placed on a
When removed the shape will have the pattern from the folder!!
Michelle added a tab hanger on the back of the plate so that
it can be hung if required.
There is always room for a lovely bow too!!
