Wish granted Alcohol inks - day 2

Hello :)
Ever thought or altering your laptop? Are you bored with the plain design? well, Gio is here today to show  you how she altered her laptop using alcohol inks and Viva Decor products....
Ready for it?  Here we go....

You can also use this technique to make card or create wonderful background.

Draw some doodle, flowers, circle on a piece of paper.
You can use your favourite stamps, or draw from a page of magazine or patterned paper, or from a piece of fabric.

Take a piece of acetate, same size of your laptop, and put above your drawing or stamped image.
Start to trace out with a  Viva Decor dimensional pen.

Set aside to dry (it takes less than an hour).

Once dry we can start to colour it with the Alcohol inks

This technique is so easy and if you are not happy with the result, take your blending solution or the StazOn cleaner and wipe away the colours and start again.
Here is what Gio used:
Viva Pearl Pen: Copper
Clear acetate
Adirondack blending solution
Adirondack Alcohol inks
StazOn stamp cleaner

Now, I must share what my daughter just told me as I am writing this post...
She see's Gio's pictures and goes "WOW!! How do you do that?"
I tell her.. and she asks:
"Do we have those pearl pens?" (me: yes we do)
"Do we have the plastic thing?" (meaning acetate... yes we do)
"Do we have the colours?" (meaning alcohol inks... yes we have that too)
Coooool, then we can do it too!! We "just" have to buy a white laptop...
I guess a shopping list is easy to write when you are 8 years old ;)

Do you want more techniques for your alcohol inks?
Make sure you come back tomorrow as Isasart will show you how to use them with polymer clay and metal....

See you then
oh... and don't forget to leave a comment below to tell us what you think...

  10. Bonjour,

    Callie
