Embossing powder week: day 1

Hi,
This week will be an embossing powder week... any embossing powder. There is a wide choice on our website, the biggest range being the gorgeous Cosmic Shimmer ones.

Isa'sArt has been knitting and crocheting a lot lately, so she decided to make her own wool/stitch markers. Now, I used to knit, many moons ago, when my boys were little (the younger one is now 13), and I used to do so with my (French) mum, with French books, so I'm not used to the English vocabulary as far as knitting is concerned LOL. So if they are not called stitch markers, let me know ;).
I did google it though, so I'm pretty sure I'm ok here... ;)

Back to Isa, she used a die-cut and embossing powder and jewellery finding to make hers. If  you are not into knitting, this could be used as anything: a key ring or a hand bag charm...

She achieved an old metal look by combining the Cosmic Shimmer embossing powder and the Distress Embossing powder. Here's how she made it....

She coloured the die-cut with a black copic marker, pressed it onto the Versamark pad and embossed it first with the silver Cosmic Shimmer. You might need to repeat this step if you want it thicker.
She then pressed it on the Versamark again, but this time embossed with the Distress embossing powder to give it an aged look. Cool effect, isn't it?

Once the jewellery findings and a layer of Decopatch added to seal, you have yourself a nice stitch marker/hand bag charm etc...
