Gift week: day two

hello :)

How are you today? Ready for day two?
If I tell you fabric... spray inks... unusual projects... you tell me..... GIO of course... I'm such a fan of her work, she never ceases to amaze me.
Gio has made some really cool gifts using our fabric bags, and she even made a pillow!!!!
And as if that was not enough, you even have a VIDEO to show you how to make the first bag. And you can even brush up your Italian too LOL. (I personally love Italian and really enjoy her videos... thank you Gio)

Over to you dear Gio... How did you alter your bags and pillow?

Andiamo!
BAG ONE VIDEO

Here's the details of the gorgeous bag...

Here's a second bag...

Do you want to know how she made this bag too?
Here's the step by step.... Gio is REALLY spoiling you for Christmas !!!!

I painted the fabric shopping bag with Fresco Finish paint 'Orchid'. I painted a square of white calico with Fresco Finish paint 'Haystack'. I stamped a tissue paper with Impression Obsession 'Flourishes' and Katzelkraft 'Sandglass' plate with Fresco Finish paint 'Orchid'.

I tore it, and glued the pieces with Claudine hellmuth Multi medium Matte to the fabric, making sure to put the gel medium on the fabric and over the tissue paper.

I added some details with acrylic paint and a Crafter Workshop stencil.

I traced the heart out with a Viva Decor Copper dimensional paint. I sewn the fabric square to the bag.

To make the buttons for the bags and the pillow I cut a circle with a bottle cap from Viva Pardo Jewellery Clay copper and stamped with Impression Obsession 'Flourishes'. Before drying them with the heat gun I covered them with Ranger Perfect Pearls.

I made the two tags from fabric leftovers, glued to a piece of cardstock with Claudine Hellmuth Multi medium matte, stamped with Katzelkraft 'Cage and Chandelier' and 'Sandglass' plate.

And here's the lovely pillow

Material used for these projects:

Fresco Finish paint 'Orchid'

  1. These are both absolutely gorgeous. I don't have any fresco paint but didn't realise they were suitable for fabric. It's time I dusted off my sewing machine! xx

  7. I love this. What a great idea. Here in Wales we are not allowed free bags any more and must pay a minimum of 5p per bag when shopping, so these will make great stocking fillers.
