First up is a new project by Karen Gist, it's a lovely Christmas Printer's tray which she has decorated beautifully.
First up is a new project by Karen Gist, it's a lovely Christmas Printer's tray which she has decorated beautifully.
This is how Karen made her sample:
For the background I repeatedly stamped the trees from the Dylusions Christmas Background set and coloured them with Promarkers, adding glossy accents to the red spots.
All the chipboard pieces have been sprayed with Dylusions Sprays (except for the stocking tops which were embossed in white). I used Postbox Red, Fresh Lime, Melted Chocolate and Pure Sunshine. The colours are so vibrant and are perfect for projects like this!
I added either Glossy Accents or Crackle Accents to the pieces to help them pop some more. A bit of ribbon and teensy white pom-poms finish it off.
Materials:
This next project is from Chris Dark. It's one which we posted ages ago but as we have lots of new followers, we thought many of you might have missed and it is too lovely not to be seen!
Chris describes how she made it:
Lots of techniques involved in this one and probably too many to mention but basically the house box blank was painted in Fresco Finish paints with an undercoat of white and all the other colours over the top of that. I sanded back all the edges of the outside layer to reveal the white and the Tando bunting banner was also given an edging of Stampendous shaved ice rubbed over with white rub n buff afterwards.
I made up the little Tando House, covering it with Crafty Individuals paper first and painting the roof, the windows etc., were added with a viva decor pearl pen. The ATC behind the house is painted and then I added glitter by stamping with the Crafty Individuals Diamond background stamp using a stamp a glue ink pad.
The bottle cap is painted and has an image from the Crafty Individuals picture book cut down to size with glitter added at the edges and I finished it with a layer of glossy accents.
Similarly with picture frame, I used another image from the book, painted the bookplate die cut, stamped the CI diamond background stamp using the acrylic paint and mounted the image behind it.
The shabby flowers were made using the circles dies and the CI paper, distressed and then layered up with pearls added to the middle. I decorated with the little bicycle charms and painted Tando flowers
