Crafty Individuals week: card

Hi, 
Hope you are enjoying all the Crafty Individuals inspiration so far this week. Linda is with us today with a beautiful card and some triple embossing techniques to make a stylish seal.

I LOVE the whole vintage flag thing that is happening this year as a result of the Queen's Jubilee and the 2012 Olympics. One of the stamp plates that I particularly love is Crafty Individual's England, My Country! 

I have used the plate on my all occasion card. Stamped in Maroon Archival and then coloured with Fired Brick Distress Stain I repeat stamped the flag to create the background. 

I then triple embossed with Gold the Brittannia image to embelish... just look at the detail the stamp gives!

Crafty Individuals week: Napkin

Back with Tuesday (on Tuesday this time :o)) with what I would call a Wow-project. I just loved it when Michelle showed it to me: original, stylish and elegant. Wouldn't your table look good with those?
Here's how Michelle made them...

I've been tearing up pillowcases today, no not in frustration but to use as napkins because I didn't want the napkins to look too new. I'm entering the jubilee village in bloom garden competition this year and intend to fill my garden with wierd and wonderful shabby chic bits and bobs to set the stage for a vintage afternoon tea party. These napkins will complete an English garden afternoon tea table set with lace cloths fine china and my china cake stand complete with cupcakes

To make the napkins I just cut squares from old pillowcases 18" x 18" and stamped the Crafty Individuals stamp around the edge. If you start stamping about an inch from each edge in one corner the pattern repeat should fit the napkin just right.

The coloured napkin rings were first coloured with either Victorian Velvet or Chipped Sapphire Distress Stain then with Picket Fence over to distress the finish. The napkin was the rolled over the English flag stamp, inked with TH Distress inks and the sentiment stamped with stazon.

The napkin ring was just painted with Picket Fence Distress Stain and stamped with StazOn ink. Cant wait to get on with all the other ideas I have for the garden, it's great to combine crafting with gardening, so much scope!

Crafty Individuals week: Tag

Hi,
Crafty Individuals week with Monday starting on Tuesday, sorry. 
We know how much you love these stamps which you can find on our site HERE, and although this is something we have already done on this blog, we though you would like another Crafty Individuals inspiration week. 


We start the week with Isa'sArt and a beautiful little card/bag. Can't wait to read your comment to find out what you think... 

Isa started with printing and cutting out the template (to keep for further use) and she then traced it on cardstock and cut it out

For the flowers: she stamped the dress forms onto white fabric, coloured it with Distress ink and cut the flowers with the Sizzix die.

She then folded the flower twice (adding a dab of glue each time) and glued them all on a (2.5 cm) punched circle.

She added an altered bottle cap in the centre and some beads before mounting the flower onto the card/bag

Bag handle is made of braided fibres and ribbons
