House Mouse - Dawn Heald

Morning everyone,

Happy weekend everyone,
Hope you all have something nice planned!
Not sure what the weather is supposed to be
like, hope it will be good!  Actually they are just
saying Sunday will be really nice and warm.

Well, today is another House Mouse project,
this time from Dawn!

Here is Dawn's project....

These are such a cute range of stamps with subjects suitable
 for many occasions.
I've decorated a Tando mixed media board using left over
papers from the wreath shown previously. this is the second
one I've done recently and intend to make a collection from
 the original pack of boards.

To make this project -

Cut up the the papers into small pieces. Glue to the mixed
 media board. Let dry.

Use stencil and spread copper embossing paste
through, on a diagonal leaving right hand side free.

Stamp House Mouse and colour with Pro Markers. Cut out
leaving a small border coloured with a yellow.

Die cut letters from book pages, colour with yellow
distress inks and glue randomly to board.

Trim two of the sentiments from the paper pack.

Edge with brown ink Attach these at the bottom with foam
tape and then attach the mouse above with
more foam tape.

Thank you Dawn.

Ah, another sweet House Mouse, I know
they are not everyone's 'cup of tea', but I do
like them.  They are great for using your colouring
skills.

If you want to have a go, this is what you'll need -

Products
Distress Inks - Scattered Straw, Mustard Seed.

From stash - Old book pages

(OK I just had a vision here.....I wonder if there any
intact books in Dawn's house???  Hope the kids
school books are safe!! This is not the first
project using book pages).

So I wonder what the challenge will be tomorrow,
any ideas??
You'll have to wait and see......

See you tomorrow,

Jane x

  2. Ha ha. Well I do read hundreds of books every year alas mainly on my kindle. Love reading. Yes the children's are safe. Book pages are so useful especially when you don't know what to start with or what colour to match, grab a book page. I gateway couple big books from charity shop that I use and last ages. Get tearing. I'm thinking of making some shelves with books. X
