Classes

Classes

Happy Sunday to you!

Hope your day will be
a relaxing one to re-charge
the batteries for the
week ahead

Helen Chilton is a busy
 lady this month.  On
 Thursday, 14th September
she is taking the Card Class
which looks like a great
opportunity to get together
a stash of greeting cards
using Oxides and a
selection of stamps
including some of the new
Scrapcosy stamps by PaperArtsy.

Take a look:

Thought I'd also give you an
update on Inky Fingers which
of course you all know is
also run by Helen

On Wednesday 20th September
she is going to have us
start our Christmas
crafting by stamping and
stitching on fabric to make
a tag or two.......

The picture shows the tags
as a festive banner but you
don't have to do festive, nor
do you need to do a banner!

On 23rd September we have
the next Kit and Kaboodle
workshop.  Keep an eye on
the website to see what
fun will be in store for us....

Follow this link to come
and join in the fun

Classes are held in Lingfield, Surrey
and there will also be a pop up shop
for those essential supplies...........

You don't need to bring anything
with you other than perhaps an apron
and your lunch.  Everything needed
for the class is provided for you

Hope to see some of you there!

'Till tomorrow

Classes

Classes

Hi there!

Beautiful sunshiney day today
if a little on the windy side.
Hope you've got good weather
too

I've just dropped by to tell
you about some classes that
are coming up

The first is with Jane Colman
on 28th March and she is
going to be using one of the
new envelope cushion covers
lots of rich, yummy colours here
Do check them out

The next class I want to
mention is with Kay Carley
on 22 April.  Kay will guide you
through this beautiful canvas
using her new stamps and

Kit and Kaboodle with Helen Chilton
on 23rd April will have us making a
Decorative Gardeners Seedbox
As the club name implies, you will
be supplied with the kit and of
course paints, stamps stencils will
be provided for your use on the day
We will be using the new Scrapcosy
stamps and stencils

This project would also lend itself to
recipe storage, cataloguing your stash
or anything else come to that!

The classes will be held at the
Lingfield and Dormansland Community Centre
and Sandy will be there with her Pop-uP Shop

One final word on the Craft Barn Classes -
if you've ever thought about coming along but
been put off by the thought of all that
stash you have to bring.  Well, don't worry,
the Craft Barn Classes are the only ones I
have ever done (and I've done a few over
the years) where you do not need to bring
anything more than yourself, your pinny (apron)
and your lunch.  Oh, and maybe something
to carry your project home in............

'Til tomorrow

Classes

Classes

Hallo Everyone!

Thought you might be interested to
see the results of a fantastic class
we had recently with Jane Colman
who put us through our paces
decorating bottles with Starlight
Rice Papers - some may call these
papers Mulberry papers

Of course, everything we used, including the bottles
but excluding the lights is available from
The Craft Barn.  However, by the time you read
this, Sandy may well have sourced the lights too!

Now for some news of a Kit & Kaboodle class
that Helen Chilton has for us at the end of
this month.  It is a Moroccan style lamp and
we shall be stamping and colouring on acetate
and using the new Rusty Patina from
Imagination Crafts.  Here's the link to the class:
and here's a photo of the project

Summer is coming and wouldn't this grace your patio?
It will mine!

Chris Dark also has a super class and
here is a snippet picture of one of the
projects from her April Mix it Up class.

Chris is going to be getting you to create postcards
and mailers using the fabulous new
 Stampendous Laurel Burch stamps.

I have linked everything where possible
as I write to make it easier for you to
find out more.

If you have any queries on these classes, or
anything else of a crafting nature, do email

Classes

Classes

Hi Everyone!

Greetings from the cold, grey
south coast!  It is deserted outside
so I guess everyone is indoors
keeping warm.  Well, it is winter
after all.

Funny thing about this
season is that when thoughts of
winter come to mind - there are
blue skies, bright, white snow,
colourful hats and scarves and
always a little bird twittering
joyously............................

Leave you with that thought........

Something bright and cheerful to
focus on now.

Went to Helen Chilton's first
Kit and Kaboodle class yesterday
held in Lingfield by The Craft Barn.

Super class, lovely people and
great fun.  I may show you my
light box once I can find enough
daylight to photograph it....

However, we also saw what is
coming up next month:

It is a set of boxes that can be banded
together.  Each box holding, as
suggested in the picture, Tea or
Soapbombs

Would make a lovely gift BUT you
don't need to stop at Tea or Soap
they can hold anything you like

The boxes could also be used
individually for small gifts

I can see a scarf in one of these
boxes, tied with a pretty ribbon
and finished with a tag

Who wouldn't be pleased to receive one?
What would you put in one and who
would you give it to?

Sandy tells me it will be possible to decorate
wooden boxes if preferred

I should also tell you that Helen will also be
showing us a new technique using
Transfer Solution

So, just follow the link and you could be
having a great time at

on the last Saturday in February

PS: if you want to do a different filling
or use wooden boxes, or both
please ring Sandy to book

Hope those lovely, bright colours have
cheered your day

'Till Tuesday

Up coming classes

.....

Hi everyone

I can't tell you how many times people have said, " I wish I'd seen that earlier, now I really wish I'd done that class".  Soooo we thought  it would be a nice idea to feature project pictures for upcoming classes on the blog a bit more often - I'm really sorry if that causes the green eyed monster to make an appearance in those of you who live too far away to come to classes LOL!

Anyway, here goes:

Neil Walker's class
Friday 8th June

Using the Sizziz Tim Holtz “in the bag” die you’ll create some little ATC sized thank you cards.
You will be spending the morning making gorgeous shimmery layered backgrounds for the cards using Cosmic Shimmer sprays and distress inks and masks and putting your bags together and then spending the afternoon making the cards using layered stamping and masking techniques.

******

Di Oliver's class
Saturday 9th June

This is such a fun project it's a little piece of Art. You will create your own version of the Mad Hatters top hat from Alice in Wonderland using Di’s fabulous Top Hat kit and more - expect mucky fingers!
