I stamp 6 ways for Simply Saturday - Gio & Izzy

Hi, 
Gio and I have been "Simply-Saturday-ing" this week using the Hobby Art Harbour set. 
First of all a colourful card from gio. Simple but so effective...
Here is how she made it...

I cut a piece of cardstock to size. 

I stamped the row of houses and the boat using Hobby Art Clear tamps: Harbour Scene-it. 

I coloured them with Distress inks. 

I stamped the sentiment using CI-256 - Handy sentiments with Ranger Archival Ink pad: Jet Black

As for me (Izzy), I could not have done more simple than what I did on this cards. Could have called this "frame it up". 

I simply stamped the boat on the first one (wooden panel, bird etc... on the second) and drew the frames around it. 

I drew a cord frame for the first one, and a wooden frame on the second. 

Coloured with Coloursoft pencils, a bit of shadowing et voilà.

Did not add any sentiment, as I tend to leave it until I send it and choose then accordingly

1 stamp 6 ways - Jane

Hi everyone, 
You are in for a treat today with a super step by step by Jane who chose to use her Hobby Art Harbour set to make a concertina card. If you have never made one of those, now is your chance, Jane tells you all about it.

First, I cut two pieces of white card 6 3/4" x 4 3/4" and on one mark a border 1" along short edges and 3/4" along long edges. Cut out middle.

I then stamped the wall image all over the frame and coloured with Copics. This is the front of your card

On the other piece of white card, I coloured again with Copics to look like sky and stamped the small seagull images. This is the back of your card

Cut three more pieces of white card 6 3/4" wide to make your different stages in the card. They do not need to be as deep as your card, but will need arranging at different levels to suit. I started with the back layer and stamped the wall image along the top edge and coloured with Copics. On a seperate piece of card, stamp and colour five houses. Cut them out and stick them over the top of the wall

The next level is the breakwater and again stamp the image along the top of a piece of white card and colour with Copics. Add some sea water

 The last level will be sea and a yacht. Add some highlights to your levels with a white pen

Cut two more pieces of white card measuring 4 3/4" x 4" and score every 1/2" along the shorter edge. Fold on the score lines.

Stick the back of the card to the two folded pieces with double sided tape. Arrange the layers to suit, trimming any excess off the bottom and then sticking them to the folds

Build up the layers and finish by adding the front of the card

And Voila......one Concertina card!!!!

Hello :-)
Here's another way to use those cute little houses and boats from the Hobby Art Harbour Scene-It set: with Shrink plastic. 

You could also use the shrank houses on a handbag charm, as charms hanging from a card or tag, as a teeny embellishment on a scrapbook page or a "welcome to your hew house" gift. The sky is the limit. 
Here's how Neil made his sample. I love how he painted the bottle with the Fresco Finish paints too. 

I used Paperartsy Fresco paint for the sea and land.

I stamped the images onto clear shrink plastic with StazOn and cut out and shrank with a heat gun to create tiny embellishments. I painted them white behind and adhered to the bottle as seen.

Repeated on the other side

I added some colour to the houses and boats using Distress Markers and used a black fineliner to add some detail before filling it with "sand"
