New Shoes Week - Neil Walker

Hi everyone,

Another week on the Craft Barn Blog!

First of all can I please ask PAPERPLAY to please get in touch
so we can get your prize to you, thank you!!

Well, this week we are featuring New Shoes although perhaps it should
be Wellies, this time of year.

We are starting the week with Neil.
And what a beautiful shoe and a lovely idea for a gift.

Pincushion shoe

Paint the shoe with PaperArtsy Fresco - Rose and Sky

When dry stamp some random imagery with Plum Archival ink,
use the stamp off
the block to allow you to curve around the shape.

Add some bling with Stickles and allow to dry.

Stuff the toe of the shoe with tissue paper and the rest with stuffing.
Cut a scrap of fabric and press into the opening to
cover the stuffing neatly.

Use a glue gun to glue a coordinating flower in place as seen.

This is a flower I had made previously and if you would like to have a go there's a 'how to make the flower' tutorial - click here

What a beautiful shoe!
I love the colours.
When we asked Neil to decorate a shoe, he said fine
but he had no idea what he was going to do.  I laughingly said
pink, glitter and feathers....everything you like Neil!!!
Well I think although there are no feathers, he has done
a truly amazing job!!

If you want to have a go....this is what Neil used -

See you tomorrow with another project,

Jane x
