Dylusions week day 1 with Neil

Hello,
We are featuring the luuuuurvely Dylusions products this week. Those of you who have tried them will know how much fun they can be, whether you have tried the ink sprays, the stamps or the stencils (or all of them!!!). I personally love the bright coloured ink! I have surprisingly resisted buying the stamps so far... but that won't last long, I'm sure... love those little houses... ;)

To start off this week, Neil has made a bright and colourful art journal page using the inks and stamps. Here's all the inky details for ya ...

I used spray inks to colour the page and I sprayed water over it to bleach out some of the colour. I then used Distress ink to define the edges of the pages with the mask and also to add defined colour through the mask.

I stamped the solid leaves along the bottom in black and used a white pen to add details to them. The words are from a Joshua Kadison song (One of my favourite musicians.) I wrote them freehand and then added some stickers from Tim Holtz Chitchat and went over some letters with a thicker marker to add interest.

To make the hearts I took a scrap of paper coloured with the same inks and stamped onto it . Using a melt pot I melted UTEE and poured it over the card and pressed a large cookie cutter into it and left to cool. When cool I trimmed around it and added it to the right hand side page with glossy accents. The two smaller hearts were clear UTEE but just on the craft sheet. I pressed the two smaller cutters into it the same way and when cool stamped the design onto the back and adhered with glossy accents too.

  1. Oh no! I have been sorely tempted by the fabulous Dylusion colours but have resisted so far (how to choose a few? It would have to be all of them). You may well push me over the edge this week. Brilliant AJ page, Neil.
