Have you thought about turning your Vintaj altered blanks into teeny book? Well, if there is one person on a DT who would do this, it would have to be our "book addict" Neil.
I absolutely LOVE this tiny book, isn't it adorable?

I know most of the time Vintaj is used to create jewellery but for this I wanted to try something different so I decided to try to make a tiny book!
I started out by embossing the brass blanks with one of the Vintaj embossing folders. Then, using a selection of the paints I covered the front and back with colour. (Note; when using these paints, they are designed to dry very quickly so you only need to put a single drop onto the craft sheet of the colours you are using, you can always add more if needed)
Once it's dry, (you can use a heat gun but just remember it will heat up the metal so leave to cool.) take the Vintaj sanding/buffing pad and begin to burnish using the darker grey side. This will remove the paint and reveal the brass beneath.
To put everything together I took a small piece of binding cloth cut to size made a hole and inserted a jump ring. This was stuck to the pages using strong double sided tape to create the spine. Then I covered the backs of the brass plates with the double sided tape and adhered them to the pages
To finish I added some old jewellery to the jump ring and there you have it, one tiny gorgeous little book!
