Curio Box Week - Pauline Wheeler

Hi everyone,

Welcome to a new week on The Craft Barn Blog,
this week we are featuring Curio Boxes.

The DT have been creating beautiful projects for
you.  Today we shall start with Pauline.

This is Pauline's Curio Box....
and this is how she decorated it!

Paint the house with black gesso and screw up some book paper -
I used an old dictionary as the paper isn't too thick

Cover the back and sides with the screwed up paper I used
Glue and Seal

When dry paint again

Punch or die cut some small circles and cut them in half. Stick the
halves onto the top edges of the house

Cut card to fit the apertures and ink them by swiping Bundled
Sage and then Iced Spruce onto the card panels

Stamp all the panels with your chosen words

Stick all the panels into the house
And stick torn strips of tissue tape onto the bases

Rub Treasure Gold over the back and sides of the house and on the
edges on the front - I used Aquamarine

Add some embellishments to your house to finish off

How nice is that??

I just love these boxes, they are so nice to decorate!

If you want to have a go......this is what Pauline used -

Tim Holtz Stamps - Random Quotes and Stuff To Say

Well, I'm off now,
I'll be back tomorrow with another project.

Oh, and don't forget if you feel like an outing,
it is demo day at the shop on Saturday

Chris Dark, Rachel Snook and I will be there
hoping to inspire you!
