Grandparents Week - Neil Walker

Good Morning,

Here we are again, this time with
our first project of the week!

I'm sure you probably know that
on Oct 4th it is Grandparents Day!

Sadly, I don't have grandparents anymore
but they played a big part in my earlier
years and I'm sure many of you will say the
same of yours.

So, this week the DT were given this
as their topic and today we start with Neil.

Here is what Neil has created....

Begin by painting the doves with white crackle
paint and allow to dry.

Give them a coat of Transparent Yellow Oxide
 Fluid Acrylic.

Wipe off with a paper towel.

Add a layer of Transparent Red Iron Oxide
Fluid Acrylic and wipe off as before.

Use a glue gun to attach to a piece of
driftwood or similar.

Add a small piece of driftwood with hot glue.
Hold in place until the glue has cooled.

Make the sign from a piece of scrap coloured
card and attach to the wood with hot glue.

The finished piece.

That is so lovely Neil, and
the sentiment is so true!!

If you'd like to have a go, this is
what Neil used .....

So that's it for today,
see you tomorrow!
