Gifted

Gifted

Hallo Everyone!

Hope August continues to
be a fun month for you and
if you are on holiday I hope
you are having a great time.
If you aren't on holiday
don't forget to take a minute
or two in the sunshine and
recharge those batteries........

Here is another fun way
to present a gift card from
Claire Jackson

The Laurel Burch stamps are really fun,
quirky and very versatile.

Stamp the image four times in Archival ink
on good quality watercolour paper or card.

Select three of the images and cut parts away
so that they can be layered later.

Take the final image and with a craft knife
make a cut in the centre, following along the edge
 of part of the design.

It’s difficult to explain but easy to see in the photo.

I measured my start and end points so that
they were a couple of millimetres wider than the
gift card for a snug fit.

Colour the images with watercolour pencils
and blend with a waterbrush or wet paint brush.

Repeatedly stamp the background in wilted violet
Distress Oxide ink to cover the card blank.

I have used an Impression Obsession Cover a Card
stamp  here

Mount the images.

I used only one strip of tape on the bottom
of the last two images so that the top edges lifted
 to create added dimension.

Unfortunately it doesn’t show well in the photograph.

Add a sentiment to the front...

...and the gift card holder to the inside."

Materials used:

Stampendous Cling Rubber Stamp - Laurel Burch: whiskers
Water colour card
Ranger Archival ink pad: jet black
Watercolour pencils
Card blanks 5x7
Distress Oxide: wilted violet
Impression Obsession cover-a-card: gradation

Thank you Claire - that really
is a clever way to present the
gift card.

I just love those stamps, don't you?

'Till tomorrow

Mickie xx
