Last (but not least) project for this gift week with Gay who made a beautiful box for you. A grungy (ish) base with a touch of simple elegance on zee top. Truly gorgeous....
I masked the glass before I painted the box with the Claret and Nougat paint after that I embossed the flourish design on the front of the box with gold embossing powder, sanded to take it back flat and then rubbed the paint on again to get a distressed look.
Stampbord made a good focal point in the centre of the glass. The Memory Box die cuts out like a dream. The die cut piece was white underneath and showed, spoiling the finish so I cut another flourish in black and adhered it to the glass and that tidied the inside. Inside I used card, scored with a scoring board to give sections to keep the jewellery or earrings separate.
Memory Box Die, Amira Flourish,
Stampbord, Mixed Bag, I used an inch square piece.
Andy skinner's Stamps: Gothic
PaperArtsy Fresco paints: Claret, Nougat
Frantage, Aged Gold Embossing enamel

Beautiful box. The dies are getting more & more intricate aren't they & everyone seems to release monthly now? So many on my wish list so little money (sigh, sigh).
