Mosaic week: Folder

Hi everyone,
Hop' you are having a nice Easter weekend and thanks for joining us on the first day of our mosaic week.
The DT is spoiling you this week as I have noticed just now, when I was uploading all the pictures for the week, that they have taken a lot of step by step pictures.
Starting today with Michelle and a lovely folder she made with metal....

Michelle says:
My folder was inspired by a fantastic folder Neil had made for his TH Stamps. His was finished off with alcohol inks and loads of fabulous bits and bobs but I needed a folder fast so I did a poor mans version!!!! One day I'll get Neil to show us how he made his arty version!!

Run a few left over scraps of mirror card through your die cutter with a selection of embossing folders

Stick down onto mountboard which has been cut to the size you need. Use PVA glue and make sure you stick all the edges down. Weight the pieces as you go to ensure it is well stuck down.

Trim to size

Paint with black Acrylic paint and leave to dry

When dry sand down with a sanding block until you are happy with the effect

Finish off the edges with sticky back cotton tape

Materials
A4 Mirri card - silver
PaperArtsy Fresco Finish paints: Little black dress
Various Embossing Folders (Check out our fantastic range here)
PVA Glue
Large book rings

See  you tomorrow for some lovely cabochon
