Mosaic week: mosaic and fabric

Hi,
Here's Gio's lovely piece I mentioned yesterday. I guess they are not superstitious about breaking mirrors in Italy then LOL. I love the effect on the fabric though. Hope you like it too.

***
For this piece I decided to try hot embossing on fabric..and it works like a charm!
I took a piece of leftover of fabric, I put some Claudine Hellmuth Multimedium Matte on it spreading it with a paintbrush.
I cover with Cosmic Shimmer Ultra Thick Embossing crystals: copper, and I melted with the heat tool; when still hot I pour more powder, for 3 or 4 times. I wanted to stamp an heart, but since I don't have a stamp of that size, I cut out an heart shape from a piece of parchment paper, I adhered it to the fabric with some tape, I heat the powder again until melt and then I stamped, using the IO Cover a card Swirl stamp.

To make the hanger, I cut two piece of fabric one slight larger then the other, I tinted them with Distress Stain and Distress ink.
I prepared the mosaic decoration: I cut a triangle from an old book, whitened with Distress Stain Picket Fence, then I cut it in several pieces. I made the same thing using
CI Background Paper: Travel to Italy.
I glued down all the pieces using Claudine Hellmuth Multimedium Matte. I hand-stitched some little beads. I assembled the three pieces and I sewed them with the sewing machine.
For the scattered mirror: I put enough Claudine Hellmuth Multimedium Matte on the fabric, spreading it with a paintbrush, I laid the little mirror, then I covered it with a piece of fabric (to avoid scattered pieces on air) and then, using an hammer, I broke the mirror. At this point you can separate gently the little fragments until the glue is still wet.
I added some beads and fibers.
