How about a bit of sewing today, with addicted-to-sewing-Gio of course ;)
Aren't those just gorgeous??
Let us know what you think...
I cut out four trapezium shape from a piece of calico and batting, the same height as the scissor.
I coloured the fabric with Distress Stain, and I covered it with Distress stain Picket Fence to give a worn look. I then stamped the vintage CI-328 images using Archival Ink Coffee.
I added a piece of lace, a flower cut out from a doily and some buttons. I even stamped the little buttons.
If you don't have buttons of the right colours, you just need to colour them with alcohol inks.
I sewed the batting and the calico pieces together.
With the leftovers I covered the handle of the scissors.
Material
Distress Stain Spun Sugar
Distress Stains Dusty Concord, Wild Honey, Picket fence
Alcohol ink Purple Twilight
lace and buttons
Those are beautiful! I saw some scissor holders at a W.I. meeting but they were not nearly as pretty as these...plus you get to use stamps and distress stains! How good can it get?!
