Last post for our letters from home week. I hope you enjoyed it, I know I did :)
I have been teasing Gay with those letters, saying it was thoughtful of her to make a lovely gift like this to her GP.
But nope, she said they are just for her, those being her initials too. Aren't they just lovely and classy?
Here's a bit more info on how she made them
----
I have chosen to use my initials and painted them to fit the decor of my craft room, luckily I have white walls as well so they can be on the wall if I change my mind about where I want them:0)
Painted the 'G' in gesso first then the Fresco paints, I used the Tim Holtz Stamps just as they are not on acrylic blocks, this makes them flexible and work on curved surfaces. With the 'P' I painted the Fresco Black straight onto the letter, the paint is quite opaque and didn't even need a second coat. Stamped in Brilliance White on the black 'P' and embossed with white embossing powder. On the 'G' I stamped in Versafine Black.
For her project, Gay used:
Tim Holtz stamps: Purely Random, Rockstar, Going Somewhere.

Yes Izzy, these are really classy, love them x
ReplyDeleteThese look very chic, I like them a lot.
ReplyDeleteLove the monochromatic look of the letters and the way Gay has used the stamps as continuous borders.
