Undercover

Hi There!

Good to have you join me
today.

Can you believe it
the first half of the year has
gone?  Like a puff of smoke!
Just like that.......

Oh well, not to worry, we
have Hazel Harler here so
let's settle down and get
started:

"Hi everybody, I have a card to share
with you today.

I started by stamping the Impression Obsession
image onto card with distress ink and then
I used a water brush to soften the inked lines.

On the stamp the ring has been cut off at the top
so I used a pen to make it into a whole ring.

The stamped image was matted onto black card.

For the background I stamped the Impression Obsession
 stamp onto white card.

I used this stamp because I thought it
looked like waves.

The sand was then stamped over the swirly waves.

A close up of the finished background.

I decided to use this Kaisercraft paper on my card.

I distressed the edges and stitched round them.

I decided that I wanted more of the striped paper
showing so I trimmed the stamped background
and stamped a quote on it.

A close up of the quote.

To finish the card I wrapped some thread
round the bottom of the background,
added the metal charm and die cut seagulls."

Supplies used:

Square card blank.
Impression Obsession cover a card stamps for the background.
Impression Obsession stamp for the main image.
Impression Obsession seagull dies.
Kaisercraft Indigo Skies paper pad.
Archival ink - forget me not.
Distress ink - walnut stain and spiced marmalade.
Water brush.
White and black card.
Brown thread and charm.
Sewing machine - optional, can be stitched by hand.

Thank you Hazel - a great
card (especially for a man)
and I do like the seagull
sitting on the charm!

Don't you think that
putting the top back on the
life belt was a stroke of
brilliance?  I do but would
not have thought of it myself!

Leave you with that......

'Til tomorrow

Mickie xx
