Gio is here today with her weekly calendar, a beautiful textured background (made with a melted candle) and those lovely little Tando candles. Those are so cute, aren't they?
I cut a piece of white cardstock to size. I poured some wax from a candle ( you can choose any colour). When all the cardstock was covered I melted the wax again with the heat tool, and when still soft I stamped using the Artemio Paisley pushing the stamp and leaving it for a while. Then I brushed the whole surface with Metallic F/X mica powders Gold dust, Kiwi and Purple satin.
For the little chipboard candles: I patted the Tando Mini candles with Versamark then I covered with Cosmic Shimmer Embossing powder white. I coloured the candle handle with Metallic Distress Stain: Tarnished brass and I stamped using the same plate and Black Archival ink. I coloured the little flame with the mica powders. I glued the candles to the cardstock along with the month
Gio used:
Dreamweaver metallic F/X: Gold dust, Kiwi, Purple satin
Tando Creative minis: Candles
See you tomorrow
What amazing texture you must get from this technique.
ReplyDeleteHow completely cool is that?! The wax also keeps some of its lovely translucent quality... Amazing technique, thank you so much to Gio for sharing it!
