Last day for our inspiration week with Jane and a clean and simple candle for our Simply Saturday.
We hope you enjoyed this week and that you will think "candle" for any Christmas gift you might make...
Talking about Christmas gift... don't miss out next week... Well the next 3 weeks should I say ;)
This is a gift which I think you may have to include a note to say that it shouldn't be burnt due to the paper decorations attached!!
Cut a piece of white tissue paper and stamp on it with Memento ink and chosen stamps. I used poinsettias but they also can be daisies
Colour with Copic markers
Place calendar tab on candle and cover it with decorated tissue. Wrap baking parchment paper around candle and heat gently with heat gun.....
This was covered in more depth in an earlier post
Stamp flower and leaves on piece of white paper, colour and cut out. Add to candle to decorate with a little Pinflair glue.
Jane used
Candle
Copics - Y38, RV63, RV66, YG25, YG63
Memento ink - Tuxedo Black
See you tomorrow
Very pretty but not very practical.
ReplyDeleteIf your candle has a large enough diameter it's not a problem as the wax only burns from the middle. Then you can put a tea light in it and illuminate your design from the inside out. This idea could work well for an advent candle.
ReplyDeleteOops forgot to say I think this is very pretty.
ReplyDelete.....and it's much prettier in reality.
