Dreamweaver week: Canvas

Hi,
Another week packed with gorgeous projects for your this week as our DT will use Dreamweaver products: stencils, embossing paste, Metallic F/X... on canvas, fabric, Art Journal page, metal...
By the end of this week, you will be paste embossing and stencils experts ;)

We will try to give you as much information as we can about those products, but if you really want an in-depth tuition, how about our Dreamweaver DVD by Carol Cockbain?
For those (lucky ones) living nearby and attending her classes, you will know that Carol has come up with amazing techniques and is the Craft Barn queen of stencils and embossing pastes. Carol's DVD is packed with fantastic projects for you to try, whether you are a beginner or more advanced crafter.
More details about this DVD on our website HERE.

Now, starting this week, is Neil and his 6x6 canvas...

I decided to create a mini canvas
I took one of the 6 x 6 canvas and used a sponge dabber to apply gesso to the canvas as this allows you to add some lovely textures. I dropped some of the Dreamweaver powder onto the canvas and spritzed with cosmic shimmer to add some colour before allowing it to dry naturally. You can use a heatgun but it can cause the gesso to bubble so you need to be a bit careful.
Once it's dried I took the stencil and applied dreamweaver pearl paste to create the cross and left to dry. Once it was dry I rubbed some of the Dreamweaver powder over areas to match in the background.

To finish I wrote my sentiment in black marker and edges the canvas with black ink and also swiped the pad over the lower corner to highlight some of the texture too.

Materials
Dreamweaver Celtic Cross
Dreamweaver Pearl embossing paste
Dreamweaver metal FX powder - Amber glow
Cosmic shimmer mist- Peacock Green
