Shrink Plastic week: frame & scrapbooking

Hello dear readers,
Scrapbooking day today and a lovely page by the talented Michelle who used the shrink plastic to make a frame.

Here's how she made it

Shrink plastic frame
I Cut an oval out of a sheet of clear shrink plastic as big as the sheet would allow and then cut an oval aperture in the middle.
After shrinking with the heat gun I immediately flattened the frame with A cover a card stamp inked with stazon pressing hard to texture the plastic.

Canvas Image
After measuring the aperture in the frame I printed the image slightly longer than the centre oval on sticky back canvas. I drew the cutting line by laying the shrink plastic frame over the picture and drawing around the inside edge. When cut out on this line the image was a perfect fit for the frame.

Scrapbook Page Background
On a piece of 8 x 8 white card I stencilled faded jeans distress ink through the Webbing mask using a brush then roughly stamped the cover a card brick stamp around the edges of the sheet using pumice stone distress ink. Then I softened the edge by sponging pumice stone over the stamped image.

Assembling the frame
I positioned the photo canvas and stuck it in place, then adhered the frame to the page with glossy accents. To give more definition to the image and frame I embellished with black crushed glass glitter

Finishing off
I stamped some old chipboard letters from my stash with the cover a card stamp inked with versafine and cut the wings from the Tim Holtz Alterations: Bigz Die - Heart and wings which were then colored and triple embossed with a crackle stamp pressed into the melted embossing powder
The lettering is an alpha stamp which completed the page.

Now it's ready to go inta a fantastic 8 x 8 scrapbook album which Neil altered for my birthday!

and as this was not enough, we also have Neil's lovely Art Journal page and another shrink plastic frame.

I took a piece of white shrink plastic and cut a frame out of it freehand.
I stamped the whole frame with the sign stamp from Remnants in black stazon. The balloon and small elements were stamped onto the off cut centre piece, cut out and everything shrunk.

I covered the frame with glossy accents and stuck the balloon and smaller elements to it.
I added the photo and used the frame on this journal page.
