Dry embossing week: embossed letters

Hi, 
Isa'sArt is with us today with a lovely vintage tag and yet another way to use your embossing folders: ink them up before embossing. Pair this technique with book pages and you will get a beautiful distress effect. 


You can create some lovely effect with Dry embossing folders as I have done here with book pages
Depending on the thickness of your page, you will have to decide if you want to glue your page on a card before embossing and inking it as embossed (and wet) paper can tear easily.
To make sure that the embossed design is ink-free, ink up your embossing folder rather than your paper.


This embossing folder is ideal if you want letters you can cut out as I have used on my tag


Once they are inked and embossed, you get a lovely vintage effect

I then cut different shape to build up layers on my tag
