Simply Saturday and fabric

Hello,
Last day for the fabric week with our now traditional "Simply Saturday" post with Gay. And what a stunning sample she made. Totally the kind of sample I personally love.
Let us know what you think in a comment below...

I stamped the image onto the fabric so that the image was next to the roses, coloured with Copic Ciao pens. The beads were sewn on and then the image was cut out and mounted onto white card but left loose around the edges. The fabric was quite easy to fray for the edges.

The canvas is unpainted. I wanted the fabric all the way around the frame and so visible from all views even underneath because once on the wall they all show. I spread the multi medium with a paintbrush, laid the edges of the fabric on the glue and trimmed from behind.

I wanted to use the lovely edge, my pinking shears are blunt so I had to be careful, luckily in the fabric pack I had 4 sheets of the same fabric and it was enough to go all the way around with a pinked edge. I just love this print.
