Woodware week: Jane

Hi,
A couple of other cards.. mind you I did ask the DT to try to make it a "card week" this week, so you will see lots of those.
Jane used the lovely Huge Happy Birthday stamp on her cards and of course her beloved Copics ;)

Over to Jane...

The first card, I stamped the happy birthday onto a piece of white card, suitable for use with Copics, with black Memento ink......

The letters were coloured with two very different shades of Copics. If you use the same numbers but with different shades, it is quite easy to blend the two together. I started with YG00 and R00. You will need to 'feather blend' and so that you can see it more easily I have used darker colours on the close-ups. With feather blending, it takes a bit of practice but you will use it quite a lot when using Copics. Start at the end of the letter and stroke the colour along, lifting the pen at the end of each stroke.......

I have started one way with 'H' using one colour, on the 'A' I have added the second colour feathering it back into the first. Continue to blend as in 'P' (as you can see, because I was going to cut the letters out, I didn't worry too much about going over the edges!!).....

For the letters on my card, I added YG01, YG03 and R01 and R02, blending the darker colours into the YG00 and R00 to give a little depth. The letters were then cut out and arranged on my patterned paper which was then layered onto two co-ordinating colours of Bazzill and added to a white base card.
For the little flowers, I punched out petals from white card coloured with YG01 and R01. Use an embossing tool to shape the flowers....
To finish, decorate the letters with the little flowers and add small flat backed gems to the centres.

For my second card i have used the same happy birthday stamp........

This time, I stamped onto Bazzill card, which was trimmed and layered onto another piece of Bazzill and a white base card.....

I stamped again, onto a patterned paper......

Cut the letters out and add to your card.....

To finish, I added a few gems coloured with Copic YG25.

Here's what Jane used on her card

  1. A fabulously useful stamp. I can see a lot of uses for it especially for those tricky men's cards.

  2. Love the use of this stamp and agree with Scrapmate that this could be very useful for the oh so difficult males in our lives! So admire the use of copic markers here - don't own one, never used one and completely couldn't do this!!
