Isabelle's turn today with a beautiful altered polystyrene heart. Isabelle used the same technique she had used to alter her Christmas baubles. I remember making one at Christmas and it was great fun.
As the fabric is soft, it's easy to use it to cover polystyrene shapes. The same way I had done with my Christmas Baubles, but this time I will use a heart.
So I chose to use a polystyrene heart, a piece of white cotton on which I stamped a (Crafty Individuals) fan and some Candis. I am using them as sequins
As it's a more complex shape than the bauble, it will be easier to add the fabric if you cut the heart in several places. You then insert the fabric with a tool (you can you the Stampbord scratch tool for example)
Add some cord and lace to hide the sections you have cut, glue your embellishments et voilà
