With Love... isn't it a beautiful stamp?
And I love the card Neil has made with it. The touch of fabric patchwork is perfect, don't you think.
That's without mentioning the contrast with the black card. Definitely a card that many would like to receive.
I will let Neil tell you how he made it.
Another card from me; I haven't done cards for a while so it's been interesting to do. I started out (with no plan in mind) by stamping the image a couple of times and then colouring one with copics and just the hearts on another.
When I'd finished it and was looking at it I thought it had a bit of a country homespun feel (In my head anyway!) So I took out and cut a selection of fabric.
I cut a piece of white card and covered it with double sided adhesive and made a patchwork with the fabric. The stitches are with a black marker.
I mounted the fabric onto black card and mounted the image the same way, before adding to the card as seen.
I blended Distress ink over the card and spritzed with water to add interest.
To finish I added the 3 hearts with 3D foam pads and covered with Glossy Accents then tied a ribbon through a heart button and added as seen.
Products that Neil has used on his card:

Wow, very girlie from Neil! Really like the effect in the background with the fabric and the faux stitching. I really should invest in some copic markers or similar - they seem so useful and will do the things my distress markers won't do. . .

Really nice Neil!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this card Neil! You really MUST make more cards from now on! Fantastic faux patchwork, great idea! Did you cut all the pieces of fabric, match them and then stick them to the card? It sounds complicated to me...beautiful effect. I agree, the stamp does have a country feel to it. TFS!
ReplyDeleteLove the patchwork idea and the stamp is beautifully coloured.
ReplyDeleteThat's a fantabulous card Neil, love the quirkyness of it!

Super card, love the criss-cross, crosspatch patchwork. Really quirky and fun!

Fabulous card! I love that while you used real fabric, you didn't do actual stitching-right up my alley!)
ReplyDeleteThe fun image with the dressed up hearts goes so well with the patchwork!
