Carnival week - Karen

Hi,
Now that we are in February, carnivals come to mind.... Venice, Rio di Janeiro, New Orleans, Goa (India) and Binche (Belgium) carnivals are just coming to an end... The Tenerife one is on... Nice's one is starting on Friday... And there are many more... Looks like it's party time in February all over the world :-)
So we are going to celebrate here this week too, with party and carnival inspired samples.
Masks and feathers are the first two things coming to most minds I think as soon as we pronounce the word Carnival.
So let's start with Karen this week and a beautifully decortaed papier mache mask

I used a paper mache full face mask and cut it down to how wanted it, then painted it with DecoArt Metallic paint in Ice Blue. This is fantastic paint as I only need one coat to cover! When it was dry I marked the eye edges & drew dots around the outside using a silver Krylon pen. I added some feathers from my stash and some elastic to hold it on. Very simple to make!

See you tomorrow
