Mother's day week - Chris

Hi, 
Mother's day is just around the corner, in the UK at least, and we thought a Mother's day week would help you out a bit to create something special. 
Mothering Sunday will be on March 10th this year.

To start this week, guest designer Chris Dark is back with the most beautiful little project, an altered frame.
The frame itself is from Tando Creative and the stamps is a Hobby Art one. 

I started off the project by cutting a piece of watercolour paper to the size of my Tando frame and then stamping and colouring the image with Distress Markers. I added some relief paste dots around the flower headband and to make a necklace and some Stickles to the wings.

I used the Dusty Concord Distress ink to ink all parts of the Tando Frame and stand except for one side of the base which is where I attached the stamped and coloured image piece. Over the top of the image I attached the frame and edged everything with the gold Rub 'n' Buff and then added more dots with the relief paste.

Next I cut out several flowers using the Memory Box die and I coloured them with the distress ink markers, shaped them a little and attached them around the frame. When everything was dry I added a centre to the flowers with the relief paste, allowed to dry and then placed the frame on the stand.
