The Christmas Table

The Christmas Table

Hallo Everyone!

It's getting a lot more like Christmas
isn't it?  Are you panicking or are
you on track?  Don't think I fall into
either category - I just take it as it
comes .............................. and like
the advert I pour another drink for
my guests if I need to make myself
a little crisis time!

We have Angela Radford with
us today and she is going to
share her place settings with us:

"Hi all, here today to show you how I've made
 some Christmas table settings.

I started with a sheet of white card and
 several colours of Distress ink.

Smoosh it on and dry.

Using the Kay Carley snowflake stencil and
Distress Matte Medium I applied this over
the coloured card.
Leave this to dry before finishing the Masterboard.

Used my Tim Holtz stamp positioner to stamp
 the ElenaZinski Elves.

Colour these and leave to dry.

Back to the Masterboard using the Kay Carley
stencil and two colours of Distress Oxide in
 with a blending too.

Cut out the Elves.
I went round the edges of these with a
black ink and blending tool so that the
white edges don't show.

Cut the Masterboard to your chosen size,
edge with matching colour, score and fold.
then attach the Elves.

I have printed the names on the computer,
edged them and attached with a stapler but
they could also be stamped on too.

This should stop them falling out about who's
sitting where Lol! or maybe not!

Happy crafting, Angela xXx"

Christmas Animals

Christmas Animals

Hi Everyone!

How're you doing?  Hope
all is well in your world and
everyone is wearing a smile

Here's Angela Radford with
a a lovely card that is sure to
bring out the festiveness
in everyone:

"Hi all, hope you are managing to
 get your Christmas cards made.

I have an idea here for you but
I warn you this is not a quick card
but hope you like it.

Start with an A4 sheet of card or water
colour paper and stamp using clear ink and
emboss with white powder.

Next we'll start to add the colour using
Distress Oxide inks. I used Wilted Violet
 and Worn Lipstick.
Spray this with a little water.

Smoosh it on and dry between colours.

Once this is dry rub over gently with a
dry cloth which will clean off the ink from
 the white embossing.

Using the same stamp and matching colours,
stamp again until you are satisfied with
the finish of the Masterboard.

Rub over again with the dry cloth
which will make the stamping appear
 to be behind the embossing.

Prepare the pieces next to make a double
Z fold card. Turn the card over and mark on
the back the sizes you need to cut out.
I used a 6x6 card blank but did trim these
pieces a little before completing the card.

For this card you will need a strip to go
across the bottom of the card, I cut one just
under half the width of the square card
and full length. Score as shown here.

Then score the main card blank as shown
here to create the Z.

Cut the Masterboard along the lines.

Trim the pieces to fit

At this stage I made my stamped images
using ElenaZinski Christmas stamps.
Stamp, colour and cut these out.

 Baubles too

Stamp the baubles and sentiment on the
masterboard pieces then mount the sections
with coloured card onto the card blank

Now is the time to mount all the images.
I used a pen to draw the lines that join
the baubles together. I have also grounded
the animals with a little shadow using
ink with a brush.

A little glaze and Stickles glitter glue
completes the design.

Just a last look at a slightly different angle.

Happy crafting, Angela xXx

Paper Artsy Christmas stamps:

That's a super card and really
makes me smile!
Thank you Angela

Have a great day everyone
and enjoy all that you do

Christmas Flora

Christmas Flora

Hello There!

We've made it into December!
Woohoo!  Not long to go now...

Have you opened your Advent
Calendars? How exciting....!

Angela Radford is here today
with a tree ...........

"Hi all. Angela here to show you this really
quirky Christmas tree card, using Elenazinski
stamps (PaperArtsy). Hope you like it.

Spread some Distress Oxides onto a craft
mat and pull a sheet of watercolour card
 through it.

 Dry between applications.

I couldn't make my mind up about the colours
so made two backgrounds and used a Kay Carley
Christmas stencil to decorate the card blank.

Christmas tree and bauble stamps next
ready to colour and cut out.

Used the holly stamp next to put a little more
detail to the background using the second
generation colour by stamping on waste
paper and then onto the card.

This may look a bit crazy as I have stamped
all the detail ready to attach the sections
when coloured.

By doing it this way you have the fine
lines of the baubles string and ground lines
for the trees and only need to cut out the
main sections.

I edged the card at this stage too.
The border stamp is from a set by
JOFY 06 (PaperArtsy).

Attach the baubles first.

Then add the trees.

Apply the stickles glitter glue next.

Layer the finished design onto coloured
card of your choice and attach it to the
card blank.

And here is a slight variation in colours.

Hope you enjoyed watching me make these
cards and maybe it's given you some inspiration
 for your own.

Happy crafting, Angela xXx
