Hallo Everyone!

Strictly speaking, todays box

isn't a box ...............I know.......

think I've been bitten by the

Mad March Hare ......!!

Get ready for a truly gorgeous 

project from Craftyfield

"I know decorating glass can be daunting 

but these plates offer creative

 possibilities that had me very excited!

Having 2 sides to play with means that 

you can use Archival inks to stamp and

 alcohol inks to colour, for example, 

but also create foreground and background

 independently without having to worry

 about painting around your motifs.

The kit unpacked. 

The back panel can be painted with acrylic

 or, once gessoed, could be stamped 

and coloured to create a suitable background 

to the scene.

For this project I took a shortcut

 and used patterned paper.

 I stamped my fishes (Paper Artsy Hot Picks)

 with Archival ink and embossed with clear

 Embossing powder first, then I overstamped 

and embossed with both clear and Silver 

powders to create the look of scales.

The algae have been stamped with Versamark

 and embossed with a green embossing 

powder to which I added a sprinkling of 

darker powder for variation.

I painted the back of my fish with DecoArt Extreme

 sheen to add both opacity and shine.

 I used the depth of the 3D plate to place some

 shells on a "sandy" surface but one could 

add one or more layers of acetate hinged over the 

back panel to add more motifs and create even

 more depth in the scene.

If I were you I'd grab these gems whilst 

you can, at this price they won't hang 

around for long!"

Hi Everyone!

Fed up with the long dark nights?

Well, here's a cheery thought, this

time next month we shall be

having our tea in daylight.  Now

there's something to look forward 

to.

To help us on our way, 

Louise Thomson has brought

abeautiful canvas with her:

"I made a simple canvas using PaperArtsy

stamps and fresco finish paints.

To begin with I simply blobbed some paint

on to my canvas and spread it using a small spatula.

Once dry, I stamped using archival inks and began painting.

When all the pink flowers were painted 

and dry, I added in more stamping

 and painted this. 

There's a shimmer coming from the 

white gold fresco paint which has

 a lovely metallic finish."

Thank you Louise - makes me

feel all smiley inside as I

contemplate summer walks

in the countryside

Hallo Everyone!

How's it going?........

You know, if often wondered

what is being referred to.....

Well, whatever, everything is

good in my little corner of

the crafty world and I hope it

is the same in yours

Helen Chilton has a tag for us

today using just one set of 

stamps.  Take a look:

Lots of zingy colours on this tag.

Scrape on some Zesty Zing with a 

plastic card and let dry.

Add patches of white especially where 

you're going to stamp the face.

Stamp main image in black and then add

 parts of the image to create a diagonal design.

Fill in with stencilling with Distress Oxides

Layer onto black card and add embellishments."

Of course, it doesn't have to be

this particular set of stamps - it

could be any, or even a selection

of individual stamps

Happy Monday Everyone!

Thought I'd ring the changes

and wish everyone a cheery start

to the week................

Angela Radford has been in the

cheer cupboard too and has

brought us a..............dare I say.....

cheery card?  Well it is, the week

may not turn out to be but we do

our best to keep you happy.......

"Hi all. I've been having fun with some

 Kim Dellow stamps.

I decided to use some craft card this time

 with a page from an old paperback book 

which I'd coloured earlier with Oxide inks.

Started by creating the background

 I can never make my mind up so

 stamped and fussy cut lots of pieces

 but they never go to waste!

A little play around with the arrangement.

And it's time to put it all together.

Add some white pen, stickles glitter glue,

 gems and a sentiment and there you have it!

 Quite pleased with that, hope you like it too.

Hi There!

No that's not a command

for you to jump to - it is

an escapee from a previous

week! 

I knew you wouldn't want to

miss out!  Helen Chilton has

taken a small wee die to

show that it isn't always the

big guys who make the best

projects...............!

"A quick card using a Find it Trading die, 

Kay Carley stamps and Distress Oxides.

Cut out some scrapbook paper and

 layer onto a kraft card.

Stamp all round it with the smallest tree

 from PaperArtsy E3 Kay Carley 11.

Paint with Distress Oxide reinkers.

Die cut the baubles, emboss with 

Sticky Embossing Powder and foil.

Add embellishments to finish."

Hello Everyone!

We have another fun card

for you today.  Hazel Harler

is here to stun and amaze 

you with her take on this

theme:

 "Hi everyone, I've a Kinetic Swing Card

 to share with you today.

 I brayered some Fresco Finish paint

 over the inside of my card blank.

Then I stamped some snowflakes with

 a Jofy stamp and metalic glaze.

These are the paints, glaze and 

stamp that I used.

This photo shows the fold lines and cut out 

on the front of the card.

This photo shows the card folded and standing.

 This is the template and measurements

 for the card.

 I decided to colour the front of the card.

I used a mixture of Zinski and Jofy stamps 

to stamp inside the card and onto white card.

 I used felt tips to colour the images.

The snowmen were matted onto blue card 

before attaching it to the front and back 

of the square cut out, I also added some

 small punched snowflakes.

I cut out the baubles and glued them

 inside the card together with the sentiment.

Supplies:

White card blank.

Fresco Finish paint and metalic glaze.

Brayer and a sharp cutting knife.

Zinski and Jofi stamps.

White card.

Black Archival ink.

Felt tips.

Small snowflake punch and card.
