Dry embossing week: recycling

Hi,
Our recycling/upcycling expert has striked again, and this project was a huge hit amongst the DT members back stage. I'm sure you will love it too.
Gio is the expert I am talking about as I'm sure you would have guessed. What do you think of this one?  We would love to know. Let us know in a comment below...

This time I've upcycled a shower-gel empty bottle, to use it as ....

I cut the bottle with an exacto knife, and I made several holes along the front borders and two holes on the back of it.
I cut two strips from a Claudine Hellmuth sticky back canvas A4 sheet. I coloured them swiping the Pumice Stone Distress ink pad, then covering it with Picket Fence distress stain.
(For the pink side I swiped Worn Lipstick Distress ink pad then Picket Fence)
Then I put the strips on the Sizzix Paisley Palooza embossing folder and through the embossing machine. Then I swiped the canvas with the Plum Archival ink pad to stand out the raised parts.

I peeled off the canvas and I sticked it to the plastic bottle, covering front and back side. With the help of a felt needle I added a ribbon on the front side , some pieces of chain and I glued some beads.
You can use it as a container in the bathroom or in your craftroom, but if you make a suitable hole on the back you can use it as phone holder for the plug.

Products Gio used
