Woodware week: Gio

Hello,

Hope you had a lovely and crafty weekend.
This week, we are going to talk about Woodware stamps. I don't think we have ever done a Woodware week before, have we? With over 300 posts a year, I do lose track a bit LOL.
Amyway, they have some some lovely clear stamps which have always been very popular. They come in either sets or single stamps.
Here's a few of the wide selection we have. To find out more about those stamps, click here

To start off the week, we have a couple of beautiful cards made by Gio using Cosmic Shimmer misters to colour the flowers. Very effective, me think... what about you?
I love poppies, so I was bound to love those cards anyway ;)

I stamped the poppy using Woodware stamp Poppy with black StazOn on a white cardstock.
I put some drops of several Cosmic Misters on a tray and with a brush and little water I coloured the poppy. I used: Lava Red, Scarlet Mist, Mango Blaze, Mango Blush, Meadow Lush and Lilac Night
I tapped lightly the brush with the paint on it over the stamped area, to create colOurful drops.
I cut and coloured a semicircle piece of cardstock, and I added to the card using two brads.
For the card with the purple poppy I also stamped the background using Woodware stamp Alphabet background.
Tip of the day
For the sentiment: I took the Alphabet background and I cut it! (Just the last two lines, I have still a background stamp AND a new alphabet stamp).
I cut every single letters and then I used to stamp the sentiment using black StazOn.

For her cards, Gio used:

Back tomorrow with Jane ;)
See you then,

  3. A beautiful use for these stamps. Thank you for featuring a range of stamps that I tend to overlook but having just had a look at the selection in the shop I can see many potential must-haves.

  7. I love the cards and the tip about the alphabet stamp is great, they are nice small letters which is unusual in an alphabet set.Thank you for featuring Woodware stamps,I hope that you don't mind me plugging Woodware but we post Monday to Saturday on the blog with inspiration for paper carfters, you can find it from the web site.
