Happy Friday everyone!
Doesn't it come round quick?
Karen Gist is here today with
a 6x6 inch canvas using tissue paper
as the background and PaperArtsy
Eclectic Lin Brown's gorgeous
Sunflower stamp set, which is one
of her favourites because you can
do so much with it.
To begin with, take a sheet of white tissue paper, cut to around double the size of the canvas and stamp the swirl from the set using Stazon Gothic Purple
When it is dry, screw up into a tight ball and undo
again carefully so that you don't rip the tissue paper. Place it over the canvas without soothing it too much and attach using gel medium.
Allow the creases and wrinkles to show.
When this is dry, rub a little orange ink onto the wrinkly
paper and around the sides to pick up the creases
Take some white card and paint blocks of colour with the Fresco Tango and Guacamole. When dry and using a fine-ish brush add lines from the centre of the Tango with Vanilla and Guacamole. This forms the centres of the flowers. Stamps the sub flower of the top using the same ink as before.
Also stamp the stem over the Guacamole as shown.
Plus stamp a circle centre from the pack in Guacamole
When dry cut out.
Paint some Tango, Guacamole and Vanilla onto white card. This will be the base for the alpha stamps and the quote.
I used different fonts of stamps for the lettering and finished off the piece with some white doodles
Lovely project Karen, thank you.
