ALPHA/DICTIONARY CHALLENGE - Letter M

HI Everyone,

Once again, thank you for all the H entries.  With all the new products to add online (invoices/delivery notes are piling up on my desk), I have not had the chance to visit all blogs yet, but don't worry, I will do it, as I don't want to miss out and I need choose some for the Wall of Fame. Just bear with me please.

So the new letter is the 

letter M

BUT

this time you have to choose 

a word between MA and ME (inclusive) 

in your dictionary

(I will delete any wrong entry)

Please remember that even if you don't alter a dictionary, 

you must show the word and the definition of the word (highlighted one way or an other) on your sample.

Simply Mother's day Saturday - Jane and Gio

Hi, 
Both Jane and Gio today for the Simply Saturday's post. 
First of all, Jane made a lovely "mum" hanging heart, using the Tando Creative set and the Americana paints. 

I have used the Tando 'Mum' wreath. First I painted all the pieces and their edges and then used a contrasting paper on the heart.

Use an embossing ink pad on the painted Mum and then cover with Ultra Thick Embossing Powder.

I like to to ink again and put a second powder layer on so that it is nice and smooth. Stick to wreath. 

I actually decided to add Tando Butterflies instead of the flowers

 Before heating the second layer of powder, I sprinkle some glitter

Decorate with a ribbons and self adhesive gems to finish.

We also have a lovely card by Gio today who used the same Poppy stamp that she used on her scrapbook page.

I decorated the white cardstock with several Distress inks using the The Crafters Workshop template - Mixed-up alpha stencil. I sewed the flower steam and all along the border. I glued the flower stamped using the Woodware clear stamp: Poppy and I stamped the sentiment using the plate Kanban acrylic stamps: Birds of paradise-peacock. I added some Rocaille beads mix: Pales greens.

Mother's day week - Karen

Hi, 
When Karen was growing up there were fuschias everywhere...the garden, house, even on pictures!!!!! So I had to go for the Fuschia Decoupage Set didn't I?
We have several designs for those Decoupage sets, and they are a lot of fun to work with. Check them out. 

For the background, cover the base card with Distress Inks (I used Scattered Straw) then overstamp with a crackle stamp with dots of Brilliance Ink...I used 2 shades for this.

Stamp the main image onto plain card then stamp the leaves all around it. I used Memento black.

Colour in with your chosen medium. I used watercolour pencils for this. Cut out the background behind the flowers and then around the edges close to the outer leaves. 

 Place the image onto the base card using sticky foam pads.

To make the stamens I took short lengths of thread, tied a knot i the ends and painted on PVA glue. When dry the stamens don't flop about!
