Circles - Neil Walker

Good Morning,

How are we all?

My computer has decided to die on me
and I'm finishing
this post from my iPad so I apologise
now if this text is different from the rest of
the post.  I bought myself an Apple MacBook
a little while ago but have not quite
mastered the differences between Windows
and Apple when writing these posts.
The actual text is not so bad but the
resizing photos is giving me some problems!
I hate change!! Still might have to get on with
it now!

So this week we gave the DT the word
Circles
this was because on 5th March 1963, the Hula
Hoop received its patent after being
invented in 1958!  Bet you didn't know that!

Neil will start us off......

Rather than a finished project this week I
thought I'd share a way of making a pretty
cool background paper. I've done this in
my journal though I think it would be pretty
good as a card background paper.

Use the mask and Distress ink to begin to add a
random set of circles to your page.

Repeat with another couple of colours. Use
the corner section of the mask to add detail
 to the corners.

Ink up the Cover a card stamp with the
same colours Distress ink and add random
stamping to the page. Keep the stamp off a block
and just press parts of it onto the page.

Cover the whole page with a lighter colour
Distress Ink and begin to add more stamped
images using the Seth Apter stamps.
(I love these!) in Archival ink.

Layer upon layer of circle goodness.....

Use the Tim Holtz masks and Ground Expresso
ink to fill in any gaps and add more detail.

Edge the page in Ground Expresso and you
are finished. I've done this page in my Journal
but I think it would make a cool background
paper for cards too. I may just have to wander
down to the studio again and try a couple of
 different colour combinations for cards.......
