Christmas Makes
Today we have
Hazel Harler
lighting the way with her
first project as Design Team Member
Over to you Hazel:
Christmas will be here before we know it so I thought I'd decorate a wooden tea light holder with stamp board
Lay four square pieces of stampboard side by side and
stamp the poinsettias with black Archival ink
I used three different shades of green Versamagic chalk ink to colour
the stampboard starting with the palest green and
finishing with the darkest
I coloured the poinsettia the same way with two shades of red
I then drew round the outlines with a fine marker pen.
This is what it looked like when I'd finished.
I glued some gold micro beads on the stampboard and some gold beads
in the centre of the poinsettia.
I painted the holder with gesso, when this was dry I painted it with Fresco Finish paint and then sponged it with black Archival ink on the edges.
I stamped the tiny flowers with black Archival ink and coloured
the centres with pearlescent olive Brilliance ink.
I wrapped some gold craft wire round the holder using tape to hold it down.
The metal part of the holder was silver so I coloured the top with Treasure Brass.
I glued the stampboard to the holder with Pinflair glue gel.
To finish I added a lovely scented tea light.
List of Items used
This delightful tea light holder will enhance any setting
and I should think make a lovely gift
Thank you Hazel
See you all tomorrow..........
