Mixed Media

Hi everyone!

Today we have another beautiful canvas
using Carabelle Studio stamps;
this time brought to us by

Claire Jackson

and here she is:

Take a 5" x 7" canvas board

Create a background by sponging PaperArtsy Fresco Finish chalk paint
in bora bora, mermaid and haystack.

Dry the base layer.

Apply paint to the dots and circles stamp with Cut n Dry foam
and stamp all over the canvas board in jade, bora bora and limelight
gradually building up the background.

Wash the stamp as soon as you have finished.

Stamp the Carabelle flower freize 3 times in black Archival ink,
varying the height each time.

Highlight stems and petals in white paint pen.

Apply autumn fire paint to the top part of the flower frieze
and stamp randomly over the canvas board.

Stamp the freize 9 times and emboss in black detail embossing powder.

Cut the flowers out so that they can be layered.

Spray the centres and base layers of the large flowers with Color Bloom tea stain.

With your finger and a cotton bud apply tea stain to some of the other flowers.

Apply copper Alchemy Wax to some of the other flowers,
rub over the embossed lines with a damp cotton bud so the black shows through.

Leave some parts white for contrast.

Overlay the flowers onto the canvas board and glue into place.

Stamp the sentiment and layer onto orange card edged with copper Alchemy Wax.

Thank you Claire - a lovely project!

These Carabelle Studio stamps
are becoming quite a favourite
with us all

See you all tomorrow!
