Hope you had a great weekend and that summer is finally here wherever you are.
This week will be a bit different as I asked the DT to work with a sketch for a change. I don't think we have ever done this on this blog, other than for a challenge of course.
So here's the sketch they had to work with
First one up today is Sylvie with a gorgeous canvas made with PaperArtsy Fresco Finish paints and Crafty Individuals stamps.
As you can see, Sylvie turned the sketch to the right which is fine. I told them they could use the sketch anyway they wanted.
Apply the 3 Fresco Finish colours (Guacamole, Nougat et Sherbet) onto the canvas with a piece of Cut'n Dry foam
Then on the edges, apply 3 more colours (Hey Pesto, Irish cream et Claret)
Stamp the edges with the Kaiserkraft Crackle stamp using Fresco Finish Claret and Sherbet.
Randomly stamp the PaperArtsy script using Hey Pesto paint.
Sand the canvas to tone it down
Take 3 Crafty Individuals die-cut frames and ink them up with Distress Stains (Aged Mahogany)
Emboss them with the Crafts Too Damask embossing folder
Apply some Treasure Gold with a brush
Cut four squares that will fit under the frames and colour them with an ink or pen of your choice (Sylvie used a Promarker here)
Edge the squares with Aged Mahogany ink and sand it down.
Add another later of colour (yellow)
Repeat with the 2 other squares but using Picked Raspberry and Distress Peeled Paint this time
Stamp all your images on white cardstock.
Cut them out and colour them with Distress inks
Add a touch of yellow Promarker to match the canvas.
Stamp CI-391 and CI-388 on the squares using Archival inks
Cut out 3 rectangles and colour them with Lime Green, Picked Raspberry and Spun Sugar
Age the rectangles with the Distress ink and sanding method
Stamp them with the Crackle stamp from Kaisercraft
Add Distress Stains splatter, highlighting the edges with a permanent black pen
