At Random

At Random

Hallo Everyone!

We seem to have a full week
of projects for you.  Just the
thing to take your mind off
the weather................!

Today we have a post friendly
card from Jane Castle for you:

"I needed to make a card for my
cousin which I wanted to have a delicate
and feminine feel without being bulky with
the addition of flowers as it had to go in the post.
So I would like to share with you today
the steps and processes creating this effect.

Starting with the background I brayered
3 colours of Fresco Chalk paints -
Blush, Nougat and Snowflake.

Then mixed some mica powder with water
in a Mini Mister and lightly sprayed over the card.

To this I then applied some Grunge Paste
through a TCW stencil. Once dry I replaced
the cleaned stencil and added ink with
a sponge, graduating the colour.

Apart from the sentiment, which was
 a Woodware stamp, all the
remaining stamps are from the
Lavinia range. These are so good
for creating little scenes and
also work so well with other
stamps/die cuts/stencils etc.

With the addition of mica powder brushed
over the sentiment whilst still wet,
stickles for fairy dust and a tiny gem
for the birds eye the card is complete.

Many thanks for stopping by today,
 Happy Card Making. X"

Thank you Jane, for reminding us
that a lovely card does not have
to be three dimensional

It would be quite nice to make a
batch of these cards, all in different
colour ways to sell at the school
fete or Church Bazaar ..........

If you need any crafty supplies
then this is the place

Leave you with that thought

'Till tomorrow

Mickie xx

  1. Pretty and delicate card, Jane! I love the background and how the stencilled tree pops off the page.
